@Ducky Well GRRM stated that the books are not going to end like the HBO series, so I guess that's something to look forward to, if you enjoy reading.....

@Ducky George RR Martin took his sweet time writing the sequels. They blew through the material for the 5 books around Season 5 and 6 and took "notes" from Martin about the ending and major story beats upcoming in the books.

The 2 producers, D. B. Weiss and David Benioff got distracted by their fame, and they were excited to take over the Star Wars franchise.

Unlike the earlier seasons, where they took their time and were able to focus on the important story points and characters, the later seasons were rushed and little contradictions, mistakes and stupid decisions ruined the ending.

I don't believe Martin will ever finish the books, and they will hand it over to a ghostwriter to finish when he dies.

Well, if any of you are big readers, I can't stress enough about reading the book series. When you have to reset yourself because it is too... intense. I had to get up and walk away, to try to psych myself up, to keep going. Most of the time, I'd go and reread a few pages back, before moving on.

@HowtoDestroyAngels Yeah like duh..... You know cause like, GoT was just a really long movie, so it was broken up and shown as periodically scheduled installment pieces, to make it more inclusive and feasible, allowing the kiddies more chances to watch explicit sexual debauchery and gore. 😋

@HowtoDestroyAngels My experience was that Seasons 1-4 were fantastic, cracks started showing in Seasons 5 and 6, and then it really started to go downhill in Season 7 and finally the last Season was trash.

I hope you enjoy it. If you are a reader, I recommend the books as well, they were excellent.

@SumKindaMunster My son is going to let me read the books when he's finished with them. He's the one that told me that I needed to watch the show.

@HowtoDestroyAngels oooooh. Things started taking real good phase around season 4-5. Although not promising that it will be same on the remaining seasons - I do hope you watch it til the end :)

@HowtoDestroyAngels Awesome. Having all seasons available is the way to go. I saw it when it first came out. Between seasons I would forget so much of what happened the season before. I often had to look back and read a recap of previous episodes to keep from being lost.

@HowtoDestroyAngels Season 3 episode 9 has one of the most pivotal and shocking scenes of the entire series. Buckle up.
