Heroes. Super perfect with the motto "Save the cheerleader, Save the World"on the first season. Then, second season's quality went downhill and they had more seasons from there but they were garbage.If not for those problems, Heroes would certainly be the Top 1 super heroes series up to this day.

Jericho, sort of. It didn't really end in a cliffhanger, but I'm still not sure the alternative was any better. The first season introduced multiple intriguing intertwining plot lines. Then instead of cancelling it immediately, the show was given a shortened second season to wrap things up. Most open ends were closed in that, but in a very rushed and simple way. It missed a lot of opportunities to expand on those plot lines before closing them in a much more satisfying way.
And as a bonus answer, not a TV show but the Divergent movie series. When reading the books I was devastated by the ending and wondered how I didn't remember that from the movies. Then someone told me the movie series split the last book in two parts, but the second part got cancelled and thus the movie series ended halfway the conclusion of the series.

@caesar7 That didn't end on a cliffhanger. The creator explained that the screen went blank because he was shot. The whole series was filmed from his perspective, and he once said that he thought that when you die, everything just goes dark.

Wasn't a show per se but something I was watching on Saturday when I was a kid.
Some kids had got kidnapped and they made a plan to escape. Towards the end of the show just as they were about to execute the plan, the show got cut because of some BS special report from the white house.
To this day I still want to know what happened but I have pretty much nothing to go on as far as trying to find it.

Inside Job
Netflix had an absolutely amazing animated show on their hands about a world in which every conspiracy theory is actually real and handled by a secret branch of the US government. The cliffhanger they ended it on was that a mysterious group of robed beings who are simply called the Robes, who claim to have guided humanity throughout our history, are about to bring the most evil plan ever to fruition.
Still worth watching for all the hilarious references, but they canceled it two years ago, blaming lack of viewership, when they didn't promote it properly in the first damn place.
