What’s a great movie you haven’t seen in a long time?

I’ll go with the original Blade Runner.

@SumKindaMunster great film. I’ve seen parts not that long ago but haven’t watched from start to finish in awhile. I also loved The Patriot with Mel.
Iwillwait · M
I loved Armageddon.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@Iwillwait love that one and even Deep Impact more.
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
Although it will never have the same impact as it had when it was first released, I can still remember seeing 2001: A space Odyssey in full 70mm projection (where the screen covered the whole front wall of the cinema and curved around). I was overwhelmed. It is seminal, very much of its time and a reflection of director Stanley Kubrick's eccentricity as well as Arthur C Clarke's prophetic imagination.

@4thdimensiondream Not the same on the tiny screen, though. Even a giant TV.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@FreddieUK true but I have to say I was enjoying now more than I remembered. Got to get back to work though.
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@4thdimensiondream You are right though. By modern popular standards, it is very slow.

@4thdimensiondream I think it's the most realistic submarine movie ever made.
Blade Runner is my favorite movie also, but I see it many times.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@Gibbon it’s sort of like Seven Samurai. I need to see that one too but I guess cause it’s in another language I put it off. I will add both to my must see list!
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@4thdimensiondream Das Boot is available both ways but the dubs kinda kill the real feel
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
Life is Beautiful.
Rabbit Proof Fence.
Mouse hunt.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@Thevy29 life is beautiful was great. I’ve seen it a few times but not for awhile. It’s a tough watch. Mouse Hunt was on cable not too long ago and I caught the end. Don’t know your other choice. I’ll look it up!
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
Yup, same one. I'm waiting for the right time to watch it again.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@CrazyMusicLover someone recently posted the final scene on here and it has really got me wanting to see it again.
lonelyloner · 31-35, F
The Shawshank Redemption
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@lonelyloner they show that a lot on my cable channel. Seen at least scenes of it within last 30 days and always get caught up in it.
lonelyloner · 31-35, F

CurrentName · 51-55, M
The Godfather
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@CurrentName they often show it on my cable. I always watch some of it. Top ten for me.
one flew over the cuckoos nest
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@beermeplease I need to see again. It’s been awhile.
4meAndyou · F
The Nun's Story, starring Audrey Hepburn. I TRIED to find it for free so I could stream it, but the scrooges wanted money to allow me to stream it.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@4meAndyou I remember that one. I also remember the very last scene. I was prob like 5 watching with Mom and Sister and made a comment that made them both laugh!
4meAndyou · F
@4thdimensiondream I don't remember the last scene, but I DO remember that Audrey Hepburn was compelling in the role.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@4meAndyou I won’t say a word

@rinkydinkydoink lol. Huge Steve Martin fan and somehow I never saw this. I didn’t love the Jerk though.
@4thdimensiondream

There's a kissing scene where Martin dresses up as Ma Jarrett - a character from White Heat - that made me LOL.

"Big Night" It’s a movie that features some incredible Italian cooking.
