@braveheart21 i read the book and saw the movie. Hubbard was such a skilled sci-fi writer. I think it is just one of those books that is hard to replicate into a movie. I like the actor's portrail of Jonnie goodboy tyler

The book is brilliant but themovie just didn't even come close... I still have a very dog eared copy of the book i re read and it still holds me like the first time of reading... @robertsnj

@MethDozer i was an avid hiker when that came out --i can confess I have gotten lost more than a few times (harder now with current technology ) the feelings they presented on screen of being lost (not the witchy stuff) is so accruate on how that feels.

I have hiked before moved hours and ended up in a place I was hours earlier. it is so soul crushing to experience that (at the time it happens) and they did such a good job of protraying that.
