Why are men so crazy about tvs and sound systems?

It's all about furnishings for the man cave.
I'm not so certain men are as sophisticated about sound systems as those from the late Seventies were.
Don't think Millennial would be able to find his way around something like this.

Yeah, no, I want a decent-sized TV with good picture quality and since these thin-case models have crappy speakers, I need a soundbar.

I couldn't care less about some huge screen that is the latest thing, and as for a sound system, I listen to music on my Alexa Show.

I've got better things to do with my money.

For my 60th birthday I bought a Sony 65" OLED TV. The picture is just amazing! It still blows me away clear and detailed pictures are on it. Then since the factory sound sucks. I bought the matching Sony Atmos sound bar with subwoofer. Now we have a outstanding picture and good sound.

I went through a period of needing the latest and greatest. Now, I don't even have Dolby Atmos and I'm not sure I care. I've reached a certain plateau and I'm good.

Not all of us give a damn about that, but that is also just a broader symptom of the western rampant [i]consumerism[/i] plague in general
