there are a few more, but these are one's I've watched the most, an honorable mention for Forbidden planet ( the lust story was cheesy though)

Cabin in the woods was nicely quirky...a unique little touch of Lovecraft at the end

I loved Prometheus . Huge fan of John carpenter (the thing). I went to the Arctic after seeing 30 days of night . A v P was fantastic.

If you like these, you will like Pandorum.

It's criminally underrated and IMO better than anything on your list apart from T2, Alien and Predator 1.

Event Horizon was a masterpiece!

As to the Black Hole...more specifically Disney making a scary movie...check out Watcher in the Woods. Surprisingly creepy and atmospheric for disney.

Prometheus didnt work for me, but the others, yes - although Event Horizon wasn't really about entering a black hole. Probably. I think.

Not my favorite genre of movies but I do like Attack the block, tremors series, and Cloverfield.

Saturn 3 great film and before its time -Farrah Fawcett was easy on the eye too.

I liked the old "creature" movies that we watched on Saturday afternoons: Them, It Came from Outer Space, The Creature from the Black Lagoon (series), Tarantula, and The Blob.

2001 and Solaris not favourites? Nor Blade Runner?

Ayy good movies. Haven't seen Event Horizon in a hot minute but I do love it.

Not my favorite genre, but I do love The Lathe of Heaven by Ursula K Le Guin, both the book and the 1980 film.

The Color out of Space (2020)

While not considered horror, i heartily recommend the evil dead trilogy.

The remake is pure horror though

Phantasm was a creepy one from the later 70s.
