there are a few more, but these are one's I've watched the most, an honorable mention for Forbidden planet ( the lust story was cheesy though)
Convivial · 26-30, F
Cabin in the woods was nicely quirky...a unique little touch of Lovecraft at the end
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
I loved Prometheus . Huge fan of John carpenter (the thing). I went to the Arctic after seeing 30 days of night . A v P was fantastic.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
If you like these, you will like Pandorum.

It's criminally underrated and IMO better than anything on your list apart from T2, Alien and Predator 1.
SarahAndSamantha · 51-55, T
Event Horizon was a masterpiece!

As to the Black Hole...more specifically Disney making a scary movie...check out Watcher in the Woods. Surprisingly creepy and atmospheric for disney.
firefall · 61-69, M
Prometheus didnt work for me, but the others, yes - although Event Horizon wasn't really about entering a black hole. Probably. I think.
AllycatAD · 26-30
@firefall the event horizon created one, so yeah it was or wasn't, you decide.
DiabolicalBear · 31-35, M
Not my favorite genre of movies but I do like Attack the block, tremors series, and Cloverfield.

@Convivial Ah I missed it said sci-fi horror, that explains it!
Convivial · 26-30, F
@PhilDeep that's ok... I'm glad you mentioned it
Doesn’t Prometheus fall under the Alien franchise?
AllycatAD · 26-30
@Ghostinthemachine as a prequel, yes, you're right
@AllycatAD I prefer Covenant between the two prequels

“Life” is watchable
Have you heard that they just wrapped filming on the new Alien/prometheus film
tfan123 · 46-50, M

Ayy good movies. Haven't seen Event Horizon in a hot minute but I do love it.
Not my favorite genre, but I do love The Lathe of Heaven by Ursula K Le Guin, both the book and the 1980 film.
firefall · 61-69, M
@bijouxbroussard oh! I didnt know they'd made a movie of that!! a mission for the weekend :D
@firefall There’s that version with Bruce Davison and a 2002 remake, also pretty good, with James Caan and Lukas Haas.
badminton · 61-69, MVIP
The Color out of Space (2020)
AceWarbringer · 41-45, M
While not considered horror, i heartily recommend the evil dead trilogy.

The remake is pure horror though
Convivial · 26-30, F
Anyone mentioned alien yet?
justlooking2023 · 56-60, M
Phantasm was a creepy one from the later 70s.
UsernameAlreadyInUse · 26-30, M
