@SW-User Yeah agree. It was so uncertain. But once you've seen the first one the other ones were quite lame and predicaable.

@Queendragonfly the witch 2015 is well made too.
originnone · 61-69, M
@SW-User You've got to be kidding. I still think that was the best marketing of a movie ever....

Faces of Death a VCR tape video back in the days , eating monkey brains while the monkey was alive trapped in a box with its head sticking out , horribly frightening it was and a guy that accidently parachutes into an Aligator farm
beermeplease · M
@FurryFace he did not have food in it as he said on the news. maybe the bear smelled a morsal or something because they have a good sense of smell. but most likely the bear associated the bag with food as it probably did in the past. the poor guy never got his golf bag back
BalthazarBlake · 61-69, M
@FurryFace Good lord.
FurryFace · 61-69, M
@beermeplease yeah hey Bear gimme back my Golf Bag !!!

@Pretzel just curious, what freaked you out about it? I love the movie but never found it scary, even as a pre schooler. It always made me laugh hard.
Pretzel · 70-79, M
@robingoodfellow the vampire and the monster - I bought every minute of it
robingoodfellow · M
@Pretzel that's kind of cool
beermeplease · M
the exorcist is a good one. i remember as a kid watching black christmas and the brood. both scared the living hell out of me. not sure if they would scare me today though.
robingoodfellow · M
@beermeplease Believe it or not the guy who made the demented Black Christmas went on to make everyone's favorite Christmas flick.
Yup, THAT one. With Ralphie.

It's hard for me to think of a horror film that actually scared me... Back when I was in grade school and watching Creature Double Feature alone on Saturday afternoon, I think some of the old sci fi things creeped me out. There tend to be more gross out moments for me rather than real scares. I tend not to like serial killer movies or anything with excessive violence. It's just 🤢
BalthazarBlake · 61-69, M
@SW-User No, I prefer a decent story without all the gore too.
One I saw not long ago was White Noise with Michael Keaton about EVP, that was a little unnerving!

@BalthazarBlake Sometimes I'll get the chills when watching true ghost stories or documentaries. I suppose it's because I've had so many odd experiences myself.
bugeye · 26-30, F
Wes Craven said that freddy Kruger was based on an article about a Cambodian family coming to America to escape mass genocide in the Killing Fields. They made it to the United States, and all was fine until the young boy in the family was terrified to sleep because he felt that if he slept, he would be killed by something chasing him. He forced himself to stay awake for days at a time, and eventually, he died in the middle of a nightmare.
OverTheHill · 61-69, M
You should see The Exorcism of Emily Rose..It is based on a real life exorcism.

@OverTheHill It's cool that it was based on a true story....just wasn't that good imo.

"The dentist" "The ring" "Mirrors" & "Woman in black" in that order.
BeJeweled · 61-69, F
I found the Conjuring series to be very creepy.
originnone · 61-69, M
@BeJeweled Really? I thought it was kind of campy....which I like. The Exorcist was terrifying.
BeJeweled · 61-69, F
@originnone The Exorcist doesn't scare me anymore but one of the Conjuring flicks creeped me out with an evil nun in it. I think its the last film the lead stars made. Can't remember the title.
BalthazarBlake · 61-69, M
@BeJeweled OMG !
I'm watching part two of Harry Potter and the deathly hallows later. That's as far as I go now! 🥴

Read the book before going to bed, the damn thing gave me nightmares all night long. The ending in the book is different than the movies. To this day however, I can’t watch the movies without a feeling of dread.
