Which horror movie frightened you the most?

Because it was based on a true story, it has to be The Exorcist for me. I've never seen it since or any other film in the same vein. But did certain films with a supernatural theme based on real events make you take on a new perspective on the unknown?

Read the book before going to bed, the damn thing gave me nightmares all night long. The ending in the book is different than the movies. To this day however, I can’t watch the movies without a feeling of dread.
