Do you think it's weird for a woman in a fantasy story to marry someone they've known since that someone was a kid?

Star Wars prequels. Weird me out every time

@OneDayMore The young Anakin?
WendyLopez43 · 26-30, F
@OneDayMore Yeah I guess but I couldn't blame Padme, his attitude would've turned me off though.

I suppose it would depend the ages.
Is it an adult waiting for a child to become of age?
WendyLopez43 · 26-30, F
@chrisCA It was in Red Sonja too.

@WendyLopez43 Interesting. I am familiar with the movie. I don't recall watching it though.

@chrisCA I had a dream I was a fierce warrior and had to rescue a spoiled child prince. He said that I was very beautiful and that he might make me his queen some day, then years passed and he grew up and made me his queen.

I know people who do that in real life. Friends with someone since school days, or even before that, and end up getting married later on. Not a recipe to success though.

It's common in novels. When I was a kid I found it cute and exciting. Now as an adult woman I find it a bit eww.
WendyLopez43 · 26-30, F
@CrazyMusicLover Same happened to me in a dream and it was funny, I was a fierce warrior like Conan but female.

@WendyLopez43 You have interesting dreams.
No. I think it is weird when it happens in real life.

Do you mean someone the same age as she is and they grew up together, or he was a kid when she was an adult, and now he's also an adult and she's older?
WendyLopez43 · 26-30, F
@DunningKruger The latter.

What’s a fantasy story? Like a movie of some kind?
WendyLopez43 · 26-30, F
@Jenny1234 yes, or a novel.
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@WendyLopez43 okay, no i don’t think it’s weird. Lots of hallmark movies are based on that premise
