I agree with you. The West has developed a catastrophic foreign policy for decades and hundreds of thousands of people have died because of it, possibly millions. I don’t hate Russian people, just Putin. Here in England, Putin sent two KGB assassins to kill a Russian dissident, Sergei Skripal and his daughter, Yulia, with a highly poisonous nerve agent called Novichok. During the attempt, they made no effort to protect the general public and Novichok was found in numerous places in public restaurants, etc. It eventually killed an innocent woman who came into contact with it. The Skripals barely survived the attack. Putin denied any responsibility, until our government showed him HD CCTV video of his agents preparing the attack. Putin then said they were rogue agents acting on their own, which is clearly bullshit. He murders or jails his political opponents. He's beyond contempt.

There is certainly an over-emphasis on Russia by Eurpeans and Americans.

Which makes discussing russian influence in Africa , breaking the international law, a bit ironic with people from the US or Europe.. i.e they are all after the same thing, they all employ the same tactics. Running your mouth in resemblance of care doesn't really change the reality.

Same applies to how they see China.

The emphasis is so pronounced that when Arabs were calling for the Democrats to act in Gaza, the conversation always turned to Russia in Ukraine!!!!!! I have seen the comparisons repeatedly including in this website, too much whataboutism and selective outrage.

The Russian invasion of the Ukraine was wrong and needs to be stopped with Russia ceding Ukrainian territory back to Ukraine.

I blame the Russian invasion largely upon Putin and Russian oligarchy. Most Russian people are not evil.

Russia is being villainized because they engaged in a war of conquest which is seen as a thing of the barbaric past that we don't want to return.

The USA is guilty of its own atrocities and war crimes. But this isn't a competition about who is more wrong. We should be examining our own actions and trying to improve, but it remains valid to call out others for bad behavior. If you let a murderer run rampant because you have also committed crimes, then everyone else is suffering even more by your inaction.
