Do you wanna be anxious with me

and we’ll sit here and think about all the stuff we could do to distract ourselves or make it better, but not actually get up and do anything?

Ok, you name the first thing and I’ll name the next one
OnePatheticClown · 51-55, M
I'll just panic!

@itsok I can tell this isn’t your first rodeo.
Montanaman · M
I'm anxiously awaiting Monday the 26th. My son's 1st court date for his sudden divorce. He has a lawyer, she doesn't. But it's Montana. A no fault State. It could go 50/50.
Its driving me crazy. 🤪 The not knowing. $5K
For the attorney. We'll see if he's worth it.🙄😇🙏🤗
Anyway, handling my anxiety with Pendleton.

Tea/coffee+a great book.. outside if weather permits. OR Gaming. OR Kick your stressed self out to a solo walk/run OR group sport or session at the Gym.. sometimes I feel horrible but the enthousiasm of others helps me regain mine. If you have too many thoughts to keep calm.. grab a pen and take it all out on paper. If you hate writing, you can record yourself until you feel more relaxed. You can later read or hear your story and observe it from a different, posed perspective. It will help you make better decisions. Sometimes doing chores turbo style helps - you take out the tension and then you feel better plus your home is comfy ;) OR cook something delicious... healthy dinner, good sleep and more water can help you balance your emotions. When tense I just spend sometime alone.. often in fresh air.. sometimes all I need is hear the tree leaves whisper to relax.
The human body is 80% water
so we are basically just pumpkins with anxiety.

Unclench yo buttcheeks

Absolutely, though I need to go to bed...

I don't think I slept well last night... and I tried to go earlier but wasn't feeling well, feeling a bit better now...

But I certainly need to start exercising and getting on a better diet, and maybe look into some supplements.
Sounds like a plan! Let's start with listening to some parody songs about how messed up society is.
@itsok btw, hat guy posted another photo, this time showing off his muscles or whatever. Can you replicate that too? 🤭
itsok · 31-35, F
@NerdyPotato I don’t have muscles 😞
@itsok you can still do the pose though 😌
Pfuzylogic · M
Being lazy is “my jam”! ☺️
I have the remote control and commanded the refreshments to come to us. You have a favorite channel ? 👀
itsok · 31-35, F
@Pfuzylogic let’s play the game where you go through the channels and I’ll say “not that one” until you find something I like
Pfuzylogic · M
@itsok
And Suki and Pippy could wag their tails to indicate their approval!
I need to find some ice cream to walk our way.

@itsok
Sprinkles maybe?
Adrenalinerush · 56-60, F
Listen to a couple of your favourite songs out loud and sing along as loud as you can. I always end up laughing my head off wondering what neighbours think of me haha 😂 It’s usually “I will survive”
Coppercoil · M
Nah.. i can handle all that on my own. Ive got a system, a flow, a best practice, as it were. I feel you dont have the kind of anxiety skills to keep up with my level of paralized worrying.

I’m gonna head to the hot tub instead, if you wanna join bring some water and the bowl of fruit from the fridge
DownTheStreet · 51-55, M
What’s driving you anxious ?
DownTheStreet · 51-55, M
@itsok hmm, are you congested? I used to get anxious, I found reading helped. Something to concentrate on other than the phantoms floating in your mind. Or you can try pouring it out to someone. Does this happen often?
itsok · 31-35, F
@DownTheStreet yeah, I’m on two anxiety medications
DownTheStreet · 51-55, M
@itsok such a weird thing, isn’t it? How something unknown just spins up one’s mind and it runs away…and your left wondering: wait, it’s my mind, why can’t I control it?

I found comfort in knowing others had the same issue.

Like before, I found a lot had to do with breathing for me. Congestion, or for some random reason my breathing would become very shallow. This could set off a chain reaction and my brain going into flight mode. It was like I was forgetting to breath? When I got in shape (especially) that all ended. Then i was able to link the breathing response to, umm, a series of events when I was younger that involved, sparing the details, me being repeatedly taken to the point of near drowning with no way to escape. Over and over again. Funny, thoigh, when I made that firm connection it stopped having power over me.
Whodunnit · M
Play a board game
Whodunnit · M
@itsok Well, Monpoly would end in a fight, which might be a good distraction. Or Trivial Pursuit, a personal favourite of mine.

What flavour of ice-cream?
itsok · 31-35, F
@Whodunnit maybe pistachio, or rocky road. Hot cocoa ice cream? I could go for a milk tea or matcha latte. Or what really sounds good is a strawberry smoothie from the japanese food truck
Whodunnit · M
@itsok I've never had any of those, though pistachio sounds excellent!
deadgerbil · 22-25
I've been that way for so long it sucks lol
itsok · 31-35, F
@deadgerbil I can get stuck for hoouuuurs, and for some reason I just won’t take my medication when I get stuck
calicuz · 51-55, M
Naked Twister!!!

@Meduxa ooooh, I want a glass of water filled to the top with crunchy ice
Barny52 · 56-60, M
4am and it’s coffee
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
Actually clean something instead of stressing about how it's dirty.
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
@itsok I wanna buy a gaming PC.
itsok · 31-35, F
@SinlessOnslaught what games do you wanna get?
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
@itsok #1 Doom Eternal first and foremost.

Otherwise, Shadow of War, Shadow of Mordor, MW2019, NFS Heat, LittleBig Planet.
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
Focus on what your physically doing and commentate it out loud as if your writting a book. I find its distracting and stops you from creating more anxious thoughts. The feeling goes away after some time.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
We can mindlessly scroll through our phones together
itsok · 31-35, F
@iamonfire696 that sounds perfect
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@itsok I think so too lol
