Do you wanna be anxious with me

and we’ll sit here and think about all the stuff we could do to distract ourselves or make it better, but not actually get up and do anything?

Ok, you name the first thing and I’ll name the next one

@itsok hmm, are you congested? I used to get anxious, I found reading helped. Something to concentrate on other than the phantoms floating in your mind. Or you can try pouring it out to someone. Does this happen often?

@DownTheStreet yeah, I’m on two anxiety medications

@itsok such a weird thing, isn’t it? How something unknown just spins up one’s mind and it runs away…and your left wondering: wait, it’s my mind, why can’t I control it?

I found comfort in knowing others had the same issue.

Like before, I found a lot had to do with breathing for me. Congestion, or for some random reason my breathing would become very shallow. This could set off a chain reaction and my brain going into flight mode. It was like I was forgetting to breath? When I got in shape (especially) that all ended. Then i was able to link the breathing response to, umm, a series of events when I was younger that involved, sparing the details, me being repeatedly taken to the point of near drowning with no way to escape. Over and over again. Funny, thoigh, when I made that firm connection it stopped having power over me.
