Why do people look at autism like it's a bad thing

I've known several people to have it including myself and it actually is a fun thing because it helps you learn it's just people don't understand your social skills how you react and things you can't explain so they judge you because you're autistic

In my experience their lack of awarness can be frustrating and damaging the relationship. Like if I didn't know they were autistic, I'd think they were just a jerk to me for no reason and eventually stop talking to them.
But I know it's not their fault for the way they think, so I'm paying more attention to the words I use when we're talking.

I dated someone who was on the spectrum so I can only say something based on my experience. It takes a lot of patience and understanding to be with someone who is autistic. I had to dive in and learn how you guys function. I’m aware that you are different from each other but it takes a lot of effort to sustain a relationship with someone who has it.

It also depends on the people you associate with. If they're willing to know more about autism to understand you better, they're a keeper.

@Menetics true but doesn't it take patience to deal with enough of things ,why does autism get the side of feeling negativity , rejected and outcast .

@BoygetsRTs Most people aren’t vocal with how they feel. They rather give signs or body language that you have trouble understanding. Maybe that’s why.

Because its sad that people have to deal with the difficulties that come with it

People have no patience with us and we get isolated from our peers.

People usually imagine the worst case of everything.

Maybe you need to educate people if you think they are misinformed.
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
Because of ignorance mostly

The spectrum is very broad, unfortunately. So saying someone is autistic doesn't really define the same thing for all people.
