It was a do or die attempt to open a can of pineapple with a flip top. The flip top key broke off. I decided I was going to open that can no matter what...and now I have to live with the what.

I injured my left hand pretty badly doing it. I developed a trigger finger and a ganglion on my wrist from the attempt. The trigger finger was repaired, and I will be looking into surgery for the ganglion sometime this year.

A year ago when I had bronchitis and coughed while I was sitting on a chair with my upper body turned to the side. I still don't know what exactly happened but it felt as if one of my ribs got cracked.

The last time an injury required a doctor's attention was a few years ago. I was sharpening a knife while watching a baseball game and sliced my thumb. Duhhh. One of those where I knew I cut it deep, but it didn't hurt at first. A few seconds passed and suddenly the blood gushed and I felt the pain. No permanent nerve damage, so 5 stitches fixed it. Doctors and nurses were impressed enough to ask what kind of knives I owned.

I was trying to separate a badly glued together 1/16th scale Ferrari testarossa engine with an x acto knife. Knife slipped and sliced into my left thumb badly. Had to have dissolvable stitches put in.

Cracked a rib when i slipped on the ice and fell. Sore for awhile.
