Of course
Yes. I still miss our connection but it was the right time to end it for us both. Thankfully I'm missing him less and less now.

Of course, emotions are a normal part of being human. It's also good to be able to acknowledge that this person isn't good for your growth for the long term. This is a mere way to be honest with ourselves. It'll help us process better and accept the situation as it really is

That’s my estranged spouse in a nutshell. I still care for her very much, but I can’t be around her anymore. It’s good when someone remains dear to you despite them not being good for you, but it’s even more important to realize when they’re not, so you’re not subjecting yourself to being in an unhappy, unhealthy relationship. Everyone ultimately has to be out for themselves in the end.

It happened to me once. I knew that individual has issues and for whatever reason I wanted to be around them. However i kicked them out of my life and haven’t spoken to them since. It’s hard to let go, but it’s harder to hold on.
Notsimilarreally · 31-35, F
It's incredibly common. Hopefully you don't let the missing them get the best of you, and do what's best for you.
Yes. It's natural to miss people, even while knowing you have to keep them out of your life for various reasons

Sure. Eventually it doesn't hurt

Yeah. Just because you miss someone doesn't mean you have to want them back. It just means you are recognizing they were a part of your life.
KingofBones1 · 46-50, M
I used to struggle with that all the time but the more that I've been abused and said to the side the more I learned not to need or Miss others
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
Not sure if it's okay, but it seems to be totally normal and not unusual at all.
Fertilization · 36-40, F
Very okay.
It is a sign that the person is not going through traumatic stress.

Of course, it’s okay. You’re going to miss whatever good times you had, even if there were more problems. But often, for your own mental health, you have to shelve that relationship and keep those memories in the back window. 🥺
Zaphod42 · 51-55, M
Of course! I miss talking with my lil sister, but she’s narcissistic, abusive, insulting, delusional and generally toxic. A couple years ago I had to finally tell her not to speak to me again until she’s changed all of that, and since I doubt that will ever happen, to have a nice life.
LordShadowfire · 51-55, M
Absolutely.
