A man who I never would of fancied became besotted with me. I didnt want to hurt his feelings so avoided him. One day I bumped into him and went for a coffee. We had a lot in common and after a while i realised i was starting to have feelings for him too.

That ship sailed early on but it did make regular appearances, bringing with it, a love for sentimental reasons over the years.

Till it decided to sink.

When I stepped back from being infatuated with those who had no interest in me and began realizing that love was far more than lust.

I know it still today. Even though I could not continue to live with him. Even though he was mentally ill, on drugs, and cruel...I was bonded to him. I had enough self respect to leave...but he is my ONE person, in my dreams.

Yeah, unfortunately it’s not easy to find genuine love these days. Does it even exist?
