You believe in love, you're just hurt. Love hurts. No matter what.

A painful truth. Love can be a double-edged sword, bringing immense joy and happiness, but also capable of inflicting deep wounds and scars. It's a risk we all take when we open ourselves up to the possibility of love, and yet, it's a risk worth taking. For in the end, the pain of love is often a reminder that we're still alive, still feeling, and still capable of experiencing the full depth of human emotion. As the saying goes, "it's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all."

@SW-User I feel lucky enough to have loved a child and lots of animals. Which hurts too 😂 but like you said, it's always a risk. A worthy one. I don't feel like seeking love anymore because I can't risk that kind of pain. I only accept pain from my kid lol

@ScreamingFox I understand where you’re coming from and it’s why I’ve never gotten another dog 🐕
Kids pain is different though lol
I used to think if you had love. You could stand steady. You could weather what was thrown at you. Everyone tries to tell me how naive I am but never wanted to see it.

It only works I suppose if both feel same
ScreamingFox · 41-45, F
@Bexsy it's not naive, it's beautiful. But yeah, finding someone that strong to stand beside you, that's the hard part 🫂
I believe children and animals are the only ones it's unconditional.

The ending of love hurts. No matter what

I don't think love hurts. Just the misadventure of it.
Matt85 · 36-40, M
@ScreamingFox That abuse, which I'm sorry you went through, is an obstacle in the light. You probably wont come with me, where I'm going with this... But the love in your Dad's heart was and probably is, still pure when traced back to it's fundamental source. It was probably his personal shade, his demons that caused him to abuse you.
ScreamingFox · 41-45, F
@Matt85 he was able to communicate that to me before he died. But still, having a child of my own, I can't imagine carrying on hurting him no matter what I'm going through.

@ScreamingFox not everyone stops the cycle like that. you're awesome.

Absolutely! Love is the driving force ...you just need to decide where it's going to take you

I know all about it, believe me. 😓

All you need is love
Bri89 · 36-40, M
Yeah, but how many times must one be wounded before you finally find the one that heals you?
ScreamingFox · 41-45, F
@Bri89 I'm healing myself. I don't look for love anymore. I've been hurt too many times. But hating it just made me angry at something I can't do anything about except get wiser and happier alone.
