I have coasters to prevent sticky rings and damage to furniture, etc. I buy them as souvenirs from places I visit. More useful than fridge magnets, not that I don't have any of them. The one under the mug of tea I have just drunk is made of ceramic material with a cork base and bears the image of Bletchley Park mansion (see my posts)

Yep, mint chocolate chip looking ones and gingerbread ones. I like my coasters to resemble food but my 2 year old nephew tried to eat them a couple of times.
@Tamara68 Decorative, but unless they have some sort of insert (I used cork), cold drinks will sweat and you'll end up with moisture on whatever they are sitting on.
I had a bunch someone gave me. They lasted years. When i ran out I couldn't find any. Not even online. Someone told me to go to a bar, they're free. I haven't been in a bar since 1991. Now i make my own. I have some really cool ones! My favorite is from a box of Penguin CBD .
I use to use glass coasters with little rubber feet on one side, until a wet glass slid off the side of the coaster and tipped over, pretty much flooding my coffee table! Now I use ink blotters cut into tasteful round circles and carry them in my back pocket everywhere I go.
