I always think of that, like everything i am going through is just a milestone i need to defeat...like a mountain everyone has climbed and beat...its just that i dont really have anyone to help me climb that mountain....someone who will catch me when i fall...and yeah i did try a couple of time to climb those mountains but.....i keep falling, falling to the point where i just think about hurting someone just to get someone's attention so i can finally be heard........That sounds terrible.

You don’t sound like misery’s definition. You sound just like everyone at some point in their life. Every one of those things you listed is a challenge. They will feel uncomfortable until you do them over and over again. I felt awkward for a long time too lol, but then I told my therapist that and now everytime I see her she tells me I’m so awkward and it’s lost its power over me because when she says it doesn’t actually matter to me, it was a fear of being called awkward and in reality who cares if someone says your awkward a few times in the 80 - 90 years you will be alive

I’m actually on the same boat as you! I’m currently 18 years old and I am as lost as your are and that’s normal!! I like to call this the “quarter life crisis” because you don’t know what you wanna do with your life and this age is what basically depends on your choices for your future! I say take it one day at a time and focus on the now. As for the friends part, me too! Friends come and go for a reason. They are meant to be in a specific part of your life and when you don’t need each other they’re gone (you’ll be happy about it in the future even if you aren’t rn)! I also don’t like confrontation and when someone attacks or targets me when i’m not in the wrong. What you’re feeling now is something that will pass. So enjoy every bit of your day and focus on gratitude!!

I think all of that is quite normal

Well, if you keep saying things' like "I am misery's definition" that's EXACTLY what you'll get. You're 19. This is the time we learn who we are and it's rarely a smooth ride for anyone. This is when you do try things and, if they don't work for you, you try something else. It's all part of the process.

19? Your life has barely begun - lots of time and opportunity make the changes you want to see. 🙂

Sounds like depression.. Have you tried speaking to a therapist?
