Have to vent somewhere

I told him I’d take him out today for his birthday which is tomorrow.

So, today he tells me he is going out with his mom and sister (his mom isn’t comfortable around me, so I don’t go out with her). I guess my offer wasn’t good enough??!!!

It’s not like I’ve been depressed or anything. Now I’m sitting home alone on a day off. At least I have my dog.

But my husband is a jerk.

So go somewhere on your own. You don't need him to get out. Go to a movie. Go for a chocolate shake. Hell, just grab your dog, a camera and get out to find some beauty to take some photos of. If he comes home to an empty house, so be it. It's not his birthday yet. Yep. I have no sympathy as I am spending the holiday alone too. But I'm out doing things. Fuck staying at home waiting on or worrying about what anyone else thinks, says, does, feels or wants when there's no thought or concern for me.

No excuse for him abandoning his wife on her birthday.
I understand his desire to please his mother.
But, the apron strings were cut the day you said 'I do'.

perhaps it is not his fault and it is more the case of his mother sticking the boot in by asking him without consulting you first of your plans 😆 some of you woman can rather be a spiteful race at times you know [dewkissedrose ]

@smiler2012 while I could see this being the case for many, it wasn’t here. He made the choice. Then when he came home to fight with me, he turned it around to be my fault. Emotional abusers only know how to abuse.

@NoGamesTolerated We've had that fight before. Probably not in those exact words. Now his mom is having some mental problems, and he can't really stand to be around her as much. So, he's finally starting to wean off. lol
