What is a dream you gave up on?

Do you still think that it can achieve it, or is it forever in the past?
Mardrae · F
Dating/Having a Relationship.
No, too old, lost my looks, too many health problems, too many financial problems, and too set in my ways.
Coralmist · 41-45, F
@Mardrae I think there is still someone out there for you.
Mardrae · F
@Coralmist don't want him. I'm happy alone. Been married 4 times- done with all that drama

I gave up on dreams of career and marriage, both due to health issues. Those dreams are just part of the past now.

Learning to play violin.
Elessar · 26-30, M
@CrazyMusicLover I mean, I wouldn't start learning that with the expectation of becoming a professional violinist, just being good enough to annoy my neighborhood with this would be pretty great already:

@Elessar I actually heard someone training about two days ago. It was quite cute.
Elessar · 26-30, M
@CrazyMusicLover I'd practice at 7 in the morning, on Saturdays, if only I found where a certain someone moved to 🥲

Opening a "healthy" bakery. It's possible.
deadteddy · 26-30, F
@AlchemyFox That’s a cool dream. I love those type of businesses
AlchemyFox · 36-40, F
@deadteddy I was almost there but my mom started needing care. I still have my recipes and a business plan. Maybe do it food truck style one day. And I agree. I love little vegan smoothie shops and organic lunch places.

Being a professional singer. It always seemed a pipe dream to me because I never thought i was ENOUGH. Now that I feel I am ok I get too much anxiety singing solo. Sucksss. Because it was my dream as a kid.
Musicman · 61-69, M
I wanted to have a large detached garage that would house my classic car collection. The dream isn't completely gone. I could still have a classic car. Just not a collection with a large garage for storage.

Forever in the past, unless I get the new NHL game for my PlayStation. 😂

Dream: Be an NHL player…it passed me by back in the 80s, but I still think of it.

I gave up on wanting to be a Chartered Accountant.
I studied hard
And I was quite eligible.

But things didn’t go according to my plans.

And it’s okay.

Being a professional fighter. I injured my achilles tendon during a competition and it made me have a long think about my ambitions.
