If you aren’t someone the church would have killed 400 years ago, are you even living?

Strangeone01 · 22-25, F
I probably would have been burned as a witch or something 😂
I’m a divorced and remarried Christian.

The pain that some churches give today is beyond belief.

We were even refused have our daughter buried by two vicars.

So the Middle Ages linger on.
@SW-User I think I would be the first in the queue to be burnt. Some of the evangelicals on here, would have me there too.
If their own god can’t follow the commandments (lusting for other men’s wives and murder) why should I?
Agreed, it’s better to live than just exist.
I’d like to see them try.
WintaTheAngle · 41-45, M
I’ll drink to that.
deadgerbil · 22-25, M
I'm definitely that lol
TheMasterMan1 · 22-25, M
nope. You're just another pawn then. Another slave to the oppressive system so to speak.
Ceinwyn · 22-25, F
@TheMasterMan1 Pardon?
TheMasterMan1 · 22-25, M
@Ceinwyn i was responding to the question?
Ceinwyn · 22-25, F
@TheMasterMan1 Ah okay 🙂
TheEmperor · 26-30, M
‘The church’ I didn’t know that there was one, all encompassing centralised entity called ‘the church’.
Justferfuun1 · 36-40, M
@TheEmperor it is a name historically referring to the Catholic church when they were more a governing power than a simple shared delusion.
Freeranger · M
The church 400 years ago was a bit narrow I believe, and I suspect, more Old Testament. Perhaps it's just me.😉
Thevy29 · 36-40, M
Which Church?
Ceinwyn · 22-25, F
@Thevy29 Y’know. Those self appointed do-goodies who spent a bit of time burning people for no real reason.
Thevy29 · 36-40, M
@Ceinwyn That doesn't narrow the field. They were all dicks back then.
Ceinwyn · 22-25, F
@Thevy29 True. Assume all of them.
Justferfuun1 · 36-40, M
They'd kill them today if they were allowed to.
