This is the first year we won’t be changing our clocks anymore.
Softy1 · M
In my opinion they should pick the time with the most daylight and keep it.
Sidewinder · 36-40, M
@Softy1 It's an established fact, that before there were standardized time zones, people used to set their clocks and watches by the rising of the sun.
Softy1 · M
@Sidewinder what time do they set when the sun rises
Sidewinder · 36-40, M
@Softy1 Before standard time zones existed, every town and city set it's own local solar time.
Back then, local time was marked by track the position of the sun.
This wasn't a problem until the railroads were built.
Then things got chaotic until standard time zones were implemented.
And if you want to know more, read about it for yourself.
I'm sure Wikipedia has more on the subject about it than I do.

TheRealBarbossa · 36-40
Almost all my clocks change automatically. Only need to change the one in the car.
Sidewinder · 36-40, M
Yes I am.
Sometimes, when I feel I'm gonna be running late for an appointment or social engagement, I make it a point of setting my clock at least one hour ahead, whether it's daylight savings time or not.

I only like fall
Sutten · 41-45, F
South Africa doesn't do this, I would not be a fan of it if we had to do this.
eyeno · M
I'm fortunate I live in a State where we do not follow daylight savings time.

samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
There is a spike in all sorts of medical and psychological illnesses around both times of the year the clock is altered.
SunshineGirl · 41-45, F
Not until Trump.worked himself up into a lather about the clock change. Now I'm all for it 👍 🕰
Welcome to Aridzona....

meJess · F
Can I keep the daylight I save?
LordShadowfire · 51-55, M
@meJess Now I'm picturing an actual jar full of sunshine.
meJess · F
@LordShadowfire There must be extra, otherwise the clocks wouldn’t need to be moved.
WanderingHelplessly · 51-55, M
No, but I feel like if we don't it will ball everyone up eventually.
rebelsoul · M
They really need to put a stop to that shit
Keeper · M

Picklebobble2 · 61-69, M
Just something we do.
Out of tradition as much as anything else.
Am i in favour of ending it ?
No.
Because as soon as your government gets the idea they can end traditions - whatever you personally feel about them, some business idiot somewhere will cancel Christmas.

I don’t. The powers that be decided them to change. If we didn’t put them back sunrise wouldn’t be until 9am here in December and most of January. I’m more used to it being dark in late afternoon as it’s cozy.
rebelsoul · M
I am so over this clock changing crap
Not a fan.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
Fuck that bullshit. It has been proven that it's unhealthy and causes completely unnecessary stress.
LordShadowfire · 51-55, M
Never have been.
not at all
meggie · F
My partner has loads of clocks and moans as he does it. The batteries went flat in one clock and I said nothing. 3 weeks later he noticed and put new batteries in.
I hate it, and don't see the point.
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
It's stupid
swirlie · 31-35, F
Half of Canada has already stopped participating in 'time change' twice a year. The other half will likely follow, but only after doing a 10 year study to see if anything actually happens to the human body if time change is not consistently observed.
LordShadowfire · 51-55, M
@swirlie Time for me to move, eh?
Likestoenjoylife · 51-55, M
No reason to change

No. It's useless these days.

I think it is dumb and a waste of time
bowman81 · M
It's a minor pain in the ass. I really don't care one way or the other.
