no, all religion is a blight upon humanity
peterlee · M
@SnickersDOM and you shall know as gods, good from evil.
Gen 3.5
"teh bible is tru cos teh bible sez teh bible is tru"

Funny how that preposterously circular reasoning works to defend the wriings of HUMANS, isn't it?! @peterlee
peterlee · M
@SnickersDOM A penetrating description of The Fall. A mystery so profound, yet expressed in such simple language.

peterlee · M
Yes, and he invites you too. His blessings are amazing.
Punxi · F
A friend of mine...deep in my heart. 🩷

I love Him, I want to know Him and be known by Him.... I consider His words when making decisions, I call to Him when I don't know what to do, and pay attention to what's being said around me especially through His people... I confess to Him my sins and because of Him I repent...I consistantly dwell in His grace rather than my own righteousness, I encourage everyone around me to turn to Him, because I don't want to go to Heaven alone. So um I try!
XxBlahxX · F
Yes I am. Are you ?
dark548 · 31-35, M
@XxBlahxX I try to.
XxBlahxX · F
@dark548 cool! It's a journey
Aidan · 31-35, F
Yes I am a child of God.
Fertilization · 36-40, F
I believe in Jesus.
FreestyleArt · 36-40, M
Yes yes and yes
Chiefjustice · 46-50, M
No, but i love Jesus!
Boeing · 36-40
More like the other way around.
I was born in a Christian family, grew up in church school.
Wherever I go, even at the end of the world, Jesus is following me. 🤷🏼‍♀
Tattooedtaboo · 46-50, M
No.. but we get together and play spades couple times a year.
Stuart97 · 26-30
My family are followers of Jesus. I’m unsure of my religion at the moment, but I have not lost my respect of God
Aquaabyss · New
No . His people don't like my people..
peterlee · M
@Fertilization ‘His people’ can be very hurtful too.

I get some discouragement in churches.

‘ I rather you not sit here, I like to worship alone’.
‘I’ve never seen you here before’
‘Why are you coming here’
‘ You have a kiddies faith’.
Fertilization · 36-40, F
@peterlee That’s unfortunate. No one should be made to feel unwelcome in a place of worship.
peterlee · M
@Fertilization The first was in a village church. 1662 Anglican. That happened twice. An elderly congregation. You have have to share pews. I was just polite but will not go again.

The second was Anglocatholic, loads of incense. In the middle they share the peace. You basically shake hands with strangers. Again elderly, this time mainly in their eighties. No one speaks after the service I’ve been going on and off for six years. Still no one recognises me, yet the congregation has shrunk to about forty.

So I ventured to a charismatic Anglican. The congregation is about three hundred. The Christian are very friendly. Yet when I explained how long I’d been a Christian, I was told I had a kiddies faith. This I rebbuted. On another occasion a guy who had been there seven years, asked me what I was doing there!

Strange places Anglican churches.
Musicman · 61-69, M
Yes I am 🤗💝💝💝🤗
Is he in goal for Brazil?
NeddyKelly · M
@Mindfulness midfield
@NeddyKelly But surely Jesus saves?
No. I tend to stay away from all that, but nonetheless I've read that interesting book he's in that seems to be all the rage. 🤷🏾‍♀ It was a pretty good read.
Vengabus · 36-40
Only what he says, yes wholeheartedly. So much so I’ve had visions/vivid day dreams of his life.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
No. I am not religious although from a lightly Anglican background, and see no reason for me to be religious.
I try to follow his general views, but stay clear of his dad and religious institutions.
I didn't vote for him

Elessar · 31-35, M
No, he's blocked me

@peterlee I'm not mocking, I'm clearly stating that I'd be rejected by the very commandments in that religion's lore

If I really had to follow a religion I'd go with a more practical and utilitarian one.

Bacchus ftw 🍷
@Elessar You're now obligated to make a post about that blocking and then state that you don't really care that he blocked you, you "just think it's funny" and that it means he can't handle you and all that other stuff.
Mmiker · 46-50, M
Nah. Not for me.
Pambie · 26-30, F
Nope. I believe we should all find our own path in life, and not expect someone else to "save" us. When you do that you're just being lazy and irresponsible.
AdmiralPrune · 46-50, M
We’re like distant relatives.

We send each other cards on our birthdays, but mainly we don’t bother each other.
