When I was going through a divorce I didn’t work for about 2 years. Finding a job that paid well enough to afford childcare for 3 kids was impossible.
Then I lost my job because of Covid and it took me 2 months to get another job.

This question made me think about my dad who dropped out of school in the 3nd grade to work and help his family. He picked cotton and worked the fields, Imagine a 3rd grader in 2025 in the US with a job doing hard labor. Think about that for a moment.

Yes I started working part-time at 14 and while still at school and other than 6 months travel, I've always worked.

Mostly, with a couple of periods were I needed Benefits. - I'd rather be working then on the Dole.

I haven't.. i was a kid and then ran away and got married.. i worked a few places here and there but never an official long term job..

@BrandNewMan I worked at 13 distributing flyers on my rollerskates. I got 50 bucks for 1000 but then I stopped working when I was 20 because I smoked pardon and surfed a lot
