It came from the same place where that one missing sock went.
Somewhere in another universe there is someone who is wondering who this damn sock belongs too and where the button on their shirt went.

I can easily admit that I never lost buttons in the wash, but there have been a few instances where I find loose pocket money in the wash, mostly from unchecked pockets.

So did you ever figure it out?

Every button down shirt comes with a couple extra replacement buttons sewn in down low. It might be one of them.

Life’s little mysteries :) Some shirts have spares sewn in somewhere where they don’t show, or maybe from a previous load.

Either a shirt you dried in the past, or one that you’ll dry in the future

Maybe from another shirt in a previous load.

If any of my missing sox show up in your dryer, would you mail them to me?
