How does it feel when you enter 30's leaving 20's.

I am turning 30 soon and devastated. I feel like I am too old now. 😔
Too old? I’ve got sweatshirts older than you. Please don’t waste valuable time feeling devastated. Just enjoy every moment you possibly can because time does go by very quickly.
@OlderSometimesWiser Well said. 👍🏽
atlantic59 · 61-69, M
@OlderSometimesWiser love the old sweatshirts. Got any Rolling Stones ones ya wanna sell?
Bumbles · 51-55, M
30s are for amateurs, 50s are for pros.
being · 36-40, F
@Bumbles thank you 👍🏼
I’m 27, so not sure. But why too old? It’s not even halfway through the average human life span in most first world countries. Even if you were old, there’s no point in limiting your joy because of age.
atlantic59 · 61-69, M
@666Maggotz thanks for saying that because I'm becoming a pensioner next month and I still wonder how I'm gonna transition into a responsible moral person
HumanEarth · 56-60, F
Not so much different, age just creeps up on you. Before you know it, you have people offering you the Senior discount and an old person looking back at you
@Moonii Don’t listen to her, she’s just being a big baby! 😅
HumanEarth · 56-60, F
@Moonii I'm not a her, I'm a he. I'm just locked into female till like June. Some glitch or something change a setting the other day
HumanEarth · 56-60, F
I had a free sex change
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
The 30s are WAY BETTER than the 20s
deadgerbil · 26-30
@Moonii it's all downhill from 18 ughhhh
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@Moonii You have more of a sense of yourself, self-confidence, income, and ability to understand who you truly are and do things that make you happy.

Also not like your back gives out at 31 a few signs of aging are whatever. Being 18 sucks my 30s were great.
MrGomco · 36-40, M
@CountScrofula Tottaly agree!!
RedBaron · M
Just wait until you hit 50 and 60. Then you’ll look back and realize you were still a kid at 30.
RedBaron · M
@zonavar68 I’m 64 in July.

But I’ve seen friends die at 20, 21, and on into their 50s and 60s, so I know it beats the alternative, lol.
zonavar68 · 56-60, M
@RedBaron So you'll soon be able to ask yourself the '64 dollar question' lol legitimately!
Moonii · 26-30, F
@zonavar68 You and Red Baroj are so strong. I guess your generation is way stronger mentally aNd physically.I am turning 30 and already tired of life.Prayers and best wishes.🤓
Funny. It is just a number declared by society. You must have learned a lot in your twenties. On to the next decade. Have fun. Keep learning.
atlantic59 · 61-69, M
@PoetryNEmotion great for me cause next month I get the old age pension and that comes rather handily when the number is 65
@atlantic59 Good for you. I am not near that yet. Enjoy.
Jeephikelove · 51-55, F
I enjoyed turning 30, still nice and young. 40 however, I kicked and screamed, no way was I happy turning 40.
Your 30’s are great!
Moonii · 26-30, F
@Jeephikelove I turn 30 tonight.I am kicking and screaming and my husband is planing my birthday party. When I just feel like hiding my age and crying in my pillow.
Jeephikelove · 51-55, F
@Moonii I feel you. I hope you have a change of heart and at least enjoy your birthday party.

Happy Birthday!! 🥳🎂🎈
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@Moonii 30 is a beautiful age… don’t take that number and define yourself r view yourself with it

You are still who you were yesterday
bahahaha....you're doomed if you think that
atlantic59 · 61-69, M
@beermeplease so many youth doomed before their prime
Moonii · 26-30, F
@atlantic59 30 is prime?
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@Moonii 30 is still young
Theyitis · 36-40, M
Yeah, that’s what I thought too. Then I thought, “Well, I’m just in my early thirties, that’s not so bad.” Now I’m in my mid thirties and it’s like, “Well, at least I’m not in my forties yet.” That’s just the way life goes I guess.

I think it helps a lot if you feel fulfilled or at least enjoy the time. The scary part about getting old is when it’s like, “I’m running out of time and there’s still all these things I want to do!”
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
35 is the sexiest age. You ain't even there yet.
atlantic59 · 61-69, M
@SinlessOnslaught 66 is the next level but it is reduced to just watching..
I felt nothing.
@Spoiledbrat I felt nothing leaving 30s either!

Though I have since learned the age should be appreciated, not feared. I have a 28 year old brother on palliative care for a brain tumour. He won't make 30. Count your blessings people. X
robertsnj · 56-60, M
I was turning a corner, becoming more financially stable life was starting to get easier. But I feel like you posted this to talk about you.

Why are you concernred about turning 30? What will you miss from your 20's?
SW-User
when you're 40 and beyond... you'll grow wistful remembering how vital and youthful were your 30's

30's are prime. be a shame if you miss it
Mudkip · 31-35, M
Been there, done that lol. I honestly feel like you're only as old as you feel.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@Mudkip Not really. You'd notice changes in how people react to you. I'd say my face must have aged finally because people no longer treat me like a kid.
Mudkip · 31-35, M
@CrazyMusicLover at least from my personal experience, it's been different for me. People have always said I look younger (even when I was kid). But yes, without a doubt age will eventually catch up.
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
I’m gonna be 37 in June…. Now 40 seems 😫

Guess what? Nobody can escape it. We all will age
atlantic59 · 61-69, M
@WaryWitchWandering Don't believe it! My friend has developed an anti-aging serum from a wild mushroom extract that if you are interested, I can reserve a few doses...and he was so much older then - he's younger than that now
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@atlantic59 I’m all set haha
I remember thinking the same, a long time ago. In your thirties you're becoming yourself, that's good.
Torsten · 36-40, M
its kind of miserable really. Just makes you feel old, but in reality, you aint old at all.
mindstruggle · 31-35, F
I feel so bad for you man. Thoughts and prayers.
Moonii · 26-30, F
@mindstruggle Thank you. 🫥
Alorajade · 36-40, F
Denial works. Dont think about it. Going into ur thirties you kinda start having to get serious about adulting. A friend made the comment “you know you are getting old when high school movies starts to irritate you”. Thats irrelivant. Ill be old and grey and i will still tell ppl i am 27 with confidence. And you are never too old your life is just beginning.
The best. It didn’t happen at 30 though my favourite was 34.
30s are fine. I still feel like I have since I was a teenager.
Please don't be. It's honestly not that bad it's an era to a new beginning. If it makes you feel any better ...for my big 30th I could not do anything because everything was shut down for covid when it first began. So imagine not being able to celebrate an important birthday. Oh well, I wish you the best birthday ever and many blessings to you. Live it up and make it count!!!
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
I think entering my forties was the hardest.
KarenisKenziesmum · 51-55, F
@Jenny1234 I entered my forties on September 15th 2012.
SW-User
Welcome to the beginning of old age
@SW-User In one’s 30s ? Hardly. Alas, it won’t be until your 50s when you realize just how young 30-something still was. 😅
exchrist · 31-35
You will always feel old. I know i do.
BlueBacon · M
We're all riders on the storm
right now it seems terrible. when you go from 30s to 40s, it'll feel much worse and you'll look back to this time and wonder how you could have taken it so poorly. and on and on till you either stop worrying and just enjoy what time you have as best you can or you run out of time. alas.
Sevendays · M
I liked it. I was more settled.
Strictmichael75 · 61-69, M
Am getting nearer to 70!
craig7 · 70-79, M
Believe me,you're NOT!
Paladin · 61-69, M
You're still a young pup
MarineBob · 56-60, M
Rob04 · 18-21, M

@Moonii Definitely not dead.
Stay on your toes and trim off the gray hairs. You might need to search them out first. You are welcome. 😌
@SomeLikeItHot I saw my first grey at 33.
@Spoiledbrat
My hairs were right by my ears and especially behind them. You i had to pay close attention and stress made the number skyrocket overnight.
SW-User
I really enjoyed my 30's actually. I'm almost 40 now. I think if you take care of yourself, it keeps getting better.
zonavar68 · 56-60, M
Didn't really mean anything to me. Just like when I turrned 50 a few years ago it meant nothing as that was the day I left my second ex.
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
It hit really hard, took a couple of years to get over it. I'm over 40 now, and I don't care anymore.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
It made absolutely no difference. It was turning 31 that made me feel somewhat bad. But you'll live.
BigImo · 22-25, F
I can't wait until I'm 30 cos I'm on track to retire then
Moonii · 26-30, F
@BigImo Retirement in 30? 😱
BigImo · 22-25, F
@Moonii made some good investments and worked hard since I was 12 🤷🏼‍♀️
A non event.

Moving into your 40's though, can be a difficult transition.
KarenisKenziesmum · 51-55, F
I entered my 30s in 2002, and I felt no different from how I felt in 2001.
ShepherdBard · 31-35, M
It didn’t affect me too much. I think it’s different for everyone though
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
🤷‍♂️ its just the next day. Your still the same person. Not really life changing.
JohnnyNoir · 56-60, M
You're not even in your prime yet
Moonii · 26-30, F
@JohnnyNoir I thought being in 20's is the prime time. After that every one starts seeing you as too old or too mature to do anything fun.
JohnnyNoir · 56-60, M
@Moonii don't believe it. Show them they're all wrong
Patriot96 · 56-60, C
I had trouble saying 30. 30s were best years of my life
exexec · 61-69, C
Easy for me. Turning 35 was my crisis. My wife's was turning 40.
It was scary at the time, but it's no big deal
Pinkstarburst · 51-55, F
Thirty is the age of credibility. Wear it with pride.
