@SooperSarah I like it 👍!

Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
Never likely to happen.
Salaries have been stagnant for so long pension contributions have remained at levels that make original retirement conditions unsustainable.

So I'm expecting to drop dead at my post (along with 90% of other inadequately paid Gen.Xers.) I guess

As soon as @ImRileyTheDog starts giving gifts here.
I am hoping at 66. I bought a jeep recently so I added on another year to pay it off. Who knows at this point? My job is light and I might continue a bit longer than that. Life is expensive.
elafina · 36-40, F
I'm half retired and half working and I think it'll continue like that
Musicman · 61-69, M
@elafina Smart idea.

I'm planning on 2050, but I heard Olinger retired in 1642 so...

Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
I have no interest in retiring. My sister retired from teaching just over a year ago and is already back working as a substitute teacher and private tutor. My dad retired at 53 and was so bored he started working again within two years.

I worry that if I stop working, I’ll get dementia or sink into depression
Torsten · 36-40, M
when im dead or can no longer do the work
riffraffrebel · 26-30, M

OldBrit · 61-69, M

I have so many skills. I can work in all capacities. I’ll never stop. Retirement is a lie
@Madmonk Some people want to work until they die. I guess they do not value having a life of freedom. To do everything without worrying about money or stress.
Madmonk · M
@PoetryNEmotion true wealth is not needing anything. I love people. I want to serve them. Can’t imagine squirreling myself away to expire in obscurity when I can still help people
@Madmonk Retirement means you can volunteer and help people. One doesn't HAVE to work for money.

I planned to retire at 70, but my job ended before then and I had enough money to retire, so I did. Lynn retired at 62.
Musicman · 61-69, M
I retired at 53. I hadn't planned on retiring for another six years, but life happened.
2ndtimeguy · 61-69, M

@caPnAhab That is sad. Why?
