Do you fear death? Or life? Between the two, which truly feels more frightening to you, and why?

Life is scary and death is scary also.
Got to admit that loss of ego is something strange to consider.
revenant · F
@PhoenixPhail Nobody knows for sure.
@revenant Except the people who have experienced it.
revenant · F
@PhoenixPhail yes but I think you have to experience it yourself still.

I fear life more than death these days because with life you get to feel pain everyday
Euphoria30 · 31-35, F
I dont fear death im very so ready for it. Im curious and hope to have a happy ending. But life is scary 101%
@Euphoria30 I have two jobs to finish and than, i would not care either. Live or not.
Life is much more frightening. Living in physical reality is perilous. It's dealing with all the physical dangers, plus living among humans with their distorted views of reality and ill intent.

Death is nothing. Consciousness and identity continue beyond the body in an extraordinary way. Our True Beings are boundless outside of the limitations of our senses we must use to navigate this Earth plane. There is no lapse in consciousness when we withdraw focus from our physical bodies and gain focus in our ethereal bodies.

I dont fear either one. I fear my wife

I don't understand why people are afraid of death... It's like going to sleep and never having to wake up again... Sounds heavenly to me!
😴
Om2014 · 31-35, M
@drymer i think people think one moment u r here feeling being a human being expericing being in a body, and then next u don't feel it anymore, and that transition must be very painful and totally unknwn coupled with the fact u r leaving everything u knw forever,, unless u were absolutely suffering noone wants to forgo this..
ABCDEF7 · M
@drymer Can sound heavenly only to those who don't feel happy and joyful when they are awake, or they are not looking for anything more to do in their life. Otherwise most people want to wake up after the sleep, if not to enjoy the life, they have many things they still want to do in live.
@drymer some fear the pain of death.
Its not always "like going to sleep".
For some its slowly suffocating from fluid on the lungs, for some its the slow pain of cancer, for others sepsis ....etc.

If death was a guaranteed painless thing, less would fear it.

Life because it's now. But I don't fear it not to live it. I don't think that it's a choice either. Death I will welcome too.
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
Life is scarier. Especially Life with nothing to live for. Dying is really scary. But dying ends.
Fertilization · 36-40, F
Pain is all about bidding adieu to your loved ones for good.😩
Of course I fear death. I'm alive and devoted to life.
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
Neither.

I'm okay with death. I view it as a ceasing of struggle. Life tells us to keep going and hoping for the best. Some days it's really hard to get that. I'm not hurrying it along but I am okay with it.:)
ABCDEF7 · M
Maybe at some point in future I may have fear for any one or both. But currently neither I have fear for death, nor for the Life. Because I have subconsciously and conscious plans for both scenarios.
ohdicj · 18-21
Being alive alone is one of my biggests fears. And it doesn't even need to be like being the last person on earth, just living completly lonely, with noone you love around. I can't even imagine it.
Life

It is what defines the state of your death
Ghosting · 26-30
I don’t fear either but death has uncertainty so it does give me anxiety and Life is just stressful.
4meAndyou · F
I don't fear death...I fear pain. Of course you have to be alive to fear pain...so I would say life is more frightening in that respect.
Thandeka · 31-35, F
Death is not scary when you sleep and never wake. Life is not scary when everything goes well 😊.

I don't fear death. I truly believe we go on after we leave this human vessel.
Punches · 46-50, F
People say they do not fear death but I guarantee when their time comes, if they are aware it is happening, they will be horrified. Who wouldn't be?

Part of that is because these dickhead christians have managed to convince the masses that they are going to hell after this life. Yeah sure some "christians" think they are saved but do they really believe that?

"Wash away your darkest sins, if that's what you believe. Keep in mind that if you do, who is it you deceive?"

The devil's greatest deceit was convincing people that they had another choice.
@Punches You can't guarantee I'll be horrified. I'm looking forward to it. And it will be even better if I die consciously.
Punches · 46-50, F
@PhoenixPhail If someone or something is about to go before they are ready, it would be horrifying. Only if death seemed a better choice than the life one has to endure would someone welcome it.
ravenwind43 · 51-55, F
@Punches I'm sorry for your attitude. Death is a passage for many and not for you. Therefore you can't speak for all. :)

I like living
