I like the way you think, though I've seen coverage showing how hard it is on the drivers to focus on driving so intently--at high speeds!--on that task and to not overheat, have their sweat...etc....taken care of...
100 mph is just under 147 ft/s, so every 1/10 of a sec is 14.7 ft of travel...!
@ArcticDave WRC racing is the sh*t !! They run on actual roadways on asphalt, concrete, gravel, dirt, sand and can run on all those surfaces on the same leg of a race. They go so fast they have a codriver that just reads out the upcoming track from a printed sheet.
@SomeMichGuy WRC World Rally Car is real racing !!! It takes racing to a whole new level. Go pull up some WRC race clips on YouTube, you will be impressed even if you don't like motor racing.
@MethDozer Oh wait, that Japanese one where it's narrow roads and you have to be like at least a car length ahead of or outpacing your opponent to win. That one is cool too.
@GlitterEater Let's look at it objectively. Europeans fuck every sport. Look at cricket, or their love of soccer. Let's not even get started on their sins against hockey. Same can be said about them when it comes to vehicle design. Only a Euro can can take a motorcycle and turn into something so ass and pansy as a BMW horizontal opposed. Sure there's Triumphs and KTM but these are supreme outliers. Total flukes.
