We forget to live
Think about it…
When we are in school, we get tired of it and wish to grow up and start working.
When we start working, we get tired of that life and think, “I wish I was old enough to do nothing and just relax.”
And when we finally become old, we may look back and wish we were young again.
But the strange thing is…
Even if we went back to school, after some time we would want to work again.
Even if we became old and had nothing to do, we might still wish for the days when we were busy and had a purpose.
So maybe the problem isn't the time we are in.
We simply keep wanting to be in a different time.
We spend our childhood wishing to grow up, our youth wishing for freedom, and our later years wishing to be young again.
And somewhere in between all of this, we forget to enjoy the time we are actually living.
