The amount of bacteria and the chance of it leaking are way too high.

Terrible for your back too.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@GuyWithOpinions I had to have mine replaced. We still don’t know what happened. We blamed it on our cat but we never found a hole.

My Uncle had one and flooded out a bedroom in the flat below him ,ceiling down everything ruined.
HumanEarth · F
That happened to me, but our had liner to catch water for that just in case. So we were lucky in that sense.
Banksy83 · 41-45, M
@HumanEarth he'd gone on holiday and knew nothing about it
HumanEarth · F
@Banksy83 That sucks
I’ve had a beautiful one in the 90’s and 2000’s.. and I really loved it! 😍

I remember them well! I never had one but my friends had them.
My friend had one back in the 70s. I didn’t like sleeping in it, I could never get comfortable.
Sidewinder · 36-40, M
My parents had one in the early 1990's.
SJones48 · 41-45, M
My mom’s dad had one in the 80s

I had a king size water bed. My husband is 6 foot tall and could lay across it and didn't touch the rails, it was huge
@MissNen mine was huge too.

Oh yeah...WE had one in the 80's...and it was like a tidal wave every time one of us rolled over...🤣🤣🤣
My SON even had one in the 80's...and since he would never ever make his bed or change his sheets...he ended up sleeping RIGHT on the rubberized mattress.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@4meAndyou my cat only liked it if she was on it alone!
Adrift · 61-69, F
My son and I were talking about them just the other day.
I had one when I lived at home until it sprung a leak.
Most rentals didn't allow them.
carpediem · M
Wish I still had one
HumanEarth · F
I once had one in the back of my van - it froze one winter in the ’90s. That bed was so heavy, just dead weight... though it did give great traction when it was frozen.
1490wayb · 56-60, M
i still have one!! toasty warm in winter!! and no worn out lumpy springs\coils. saved a boatload of money also
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@1490wayb Do you have a heater for it?
1490wayb · 56-60, M
@4thdimensiondream yes there is a heating pad that goes underneath
Rpfun78 · 61-69, M
Lost my virginity at high tide
Musicman · 61-69, M
Oh yes! I had one for 30 years.
Floated away during a storm. Haven’t seen it since.
exexec · 70-79, C
I never had one, but I slept on a few when traveling. I didn't like them for sleeping or having sex with my wife.
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
Have a super single to get rid of.
dirge · M
very well. had a couple over the years. haven't had on in .. 30 or so years.
craig7 · 70-79, M
I never liked the idea of them. I always wondered what was the chance of them developing a leak - or even bursting, and the disaster that would create.
candycane · 36-40, F
the water ran out now its an air mattress 👌
