I Finally Broke Down and Turned On The Heat….

The Temperature was 65F. On the thermostat and I set the heat to 67F. Didn’t want my joints to swell in my hands and feet especially. It’s been windy all day and in the 30’s so I guess it is time. Picked up the boy from school because the school texted and said the buses would be 45 minutes late and made him cocoa when we got home. Chicken soup for dinner cooking on the stove. Will be baking other foods later.

65 inside? Mine is set to 68 and has been on for some time. It is 33 outside, feels like 23, and is snowing. Sounds cozy inside your home. I can even feel it. I do so enjoy your postings, cherokee. Take good care of you and your boy. Happy baking. I am headed home as I work out of town on weekends and Mondays.

@cherokeepatti Wow...I can REALLY relate to that. I didn't sleep well last night because of the muggy heat. My indoor thermometer is still reading 79 degrees!

@cherokeepatti I've taken the air conditioner out of the window already, and it's tucked in the corner...so...no way to fight it. After today, thank goodness, the temperature will go back down to the 50's during the day and we will even get below freezing at night.

My point is, Al might say "68 in the winter. 78 in the summer."
I agree. If 68 is too cool during the winter, set it at 72!!!

I broke down about a month ago. My thermostat is set to 60F and had to plug in my aquarium heaters for the first time.

@Azlotto yeah and I have to think about the birds. They don’t need to be too cold all the time especially the older ones.

@Lilnonames I would love to have a set up with a wood-burning stove in the living area, brick or tile floors to make it safer and plenty of room around it too.

@Stereoguy he came back inside, he was talking to a girl on the phone. She called him to tell him it was snowing on the north side where she lives. You should have seen the way he acted. 😂
