Has anyone noticed that people are increasingly replacing the term "Halloween" with "Spooky Season" instead?

Halloween is short for "All Hallows Eve," which started out life as a Catholic holiday, the night before All Saints Day. (Before that, it was Samhain, but I'll get into that another time.) I'd say the move toward calling it spooky season is trying to get away from the Catholic/Christian influence.

Haven't seen it here, but I've noticed that the "Halloween Season" is twice as long as the Christmas season, and Easter is all but ignored.

Halloween is only one day. Spooky season is the entire month of October.

This is the first time I'm seeing that term.

Like when they call xmas happy season..
Or Easter ‘random chocolate egg day’…

The woke world is allergic to Christian traditions I reckon..

It might be an effort to diminish the influence of Christianity in your country.

I've noticed it too, but I also hang out on TikTok a lot.
They're even moreso like sheep on there.
