Did you have a time you did *crazy* things?

Was just reading an excerpt on Stephen King and how he married when he and his wife felt they really should not, but did anyway. He said they were *crazy* kids back then but that the eight dollar wedding ring they both used was Priceless, to them, years later.
I thought, I've never had a period in life where I felt I could just take a risk and do something that wasn't rational. To just live in that moment without any thoughts of consequences...to just be a crazy kid. Life was survival and if I had been *crazy* I could've had dire repercussions in my violent household.
I think at 43, I need to relive certain years, and just be crazy for a day or a week. I have times I've had fun into the wee hours with friends years ago, but do i have any crazy things I can say I did? No. I've had a few crazy things HAPPEN as well in my younger years. But nothing where I chose myself, without abandon, to just LIVE, on my own accord with no care for the next moment.
Did you do anything crazy in the past?

I did but it was not like you would think. When i lost my daughter, the grief counselor told me that my grief would manifest itself in either shopping, drinking or sex. I did 2 of the 3 and was headed for the 3rd when i snapped to. all part of the process and lost 30 lbs in the process.
Coralmist · 41-45, F
@akindheart I'm sorry your daughter passed 🥺🌺 how old was she?
akindheart · 61-69, F
@Coralmist she was 33. she had a rare disease but pneumococcal pneumonia took her...
Coralmist · 41-45, F
@akindheart I'm sorry my friend 🪻 Her physical she'll may be gone but her soul is with you always 🌹
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
I think I was similar in some ways. I took the safe option always. Now I'm almost seventy and widowed I'm trying in small ways to make up for my oh so risk averse younger self.
kwood1 · 61-69, M
@ninalanyon I'm with you on that. Just hope i don't get caught 😄
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
@kwood1 Caught doing what? I've reached the point where I have according to statistics, about fifteen years left. So my rational calculation says I really have nothing to lose. I'm an atheist so I don't believe I can take anything with me when I die.

Of course, non-rational me is still worried about what people will think, we argue every day.

I had my crazy years in my 30s after I lost my parents. It's all came out. I feel chill again. But yeah I was never comfortable doing anything irresponsible and disappointing my family, until I realized it was all control and I was allowed to live my life.
I've participated in my fair share of "spontaneous shenanigans". I think some of it depends on who else is participating. There's always that one friend--when together--means caution is optional.

I still try to not think too much about the myriad consequences, but needless to say, I can't run like I did when I was younger... 😉
I barely partied in my teens but I was in a thousand fights and maybe some mild criminality. Got super into raves and yay and x in my mid 30s, years I don’t remember much of but I’m sure I had a bunch of fun. Almost died only one time 😂 a mostly normal dude now, I’ll crack a few beers on the weekends.

@Coralmist cocaine and ecstasy
Coralmist · 41-45, F
@DrawntoaDistance Oh gotcha. Yes those will Def lead to doing crazy things 😵‍💫
Once in a while take a leap, not really crazy, just something random you wouldnt really over think about.

Easier said than done, but take a step. Pick a random town 100 miles away and visit it, stay over night and explore. Little steps.
Coralmist · 41-45, F
@TallMtnMedic I was going to add origi in the end of my post for people to give ideas on something crazy I can do to make up for years of being a robot but decided not to. That's a great idea to visit somewhere new. I'd have to go alone as my sister is very ill but it would take me out of my comfort zone!
@Coralmist Its something I actually enjoy doing. Ill google 100 miles around me and pick a spot, sometimes 150.
Going alone is the goal. Maybe a bed and breakfast would be a fun idea?
Coralmist · 41-45, F
@TallMtnMedic I'll have to wait until I trade in my car next year...it fishtails and nobody knows the cause. I can't drive highway like that but yes this will really be something to look forward to!!
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
My late teens and early 20's were my craziest times. Like most men at the at that age, I was much more reckless and didn't think of the future. I lived in the moment partying and our main focus was doing things that would make for good stories later on. Of course there were some stupid self destructive aspects of this behaviour with the drinking and risky behaviour.
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@Kstrong At some points I thought I wouldn't lol.
Kstrong · 56-60, F
@JimboSaturn when were younger we think were invincible
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@Kstrong For sure! I think its pretty normal behaviour.
DragonFruit · 70-79, M
My late 20s was a time when I was crazy....getting drunk regularly, using drugs like cocaine and psychedelics and having a lot of gay sex (including with several guys at the same time).
It was a time that couldn't be sustained, but that was an important part of my life process. I was a mess, but enjoyed it and I miss those days sometimes.
Teslin · M
I am sorry to read about the "violent" household. I would not wish that on anyone.
As far as "crazy" for me. Just the stupid things I did in my younger days.
We often say we are lucky to be alive LOL.
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
Two of my older sisters, who are twins, were the crazy kids in our family. Always up to something and always attracting the eye of authority as a result. I quickly learned from them that The appearancd of outward compliance is the best cover for non-conformity.

Mind you, I loved it when my sisters occasionally involved me in their escapades!
Achelois · F
I always live in the moment and don’t like to plan ahead.

I take risks all the time,I like to live like that.
Coralmist · 41-45, F
@Achelois What are some risks recently?
Achelois · F
@Coralmist

I follow my heart and that’s a risk.❤🥰✨
exexec · 70-79, C
No. I have always tended to weigh the pros and cons of any action, and I have not done many "crazy" things. As a result, my regrets are more for things I did not do, rather than for things I did.
In my 20s…Keith Richard’s called me and said I should slow down …..lol
friendlykinkster · 56-60, M
I have a normal, mundane life, speckled with a lot of crazy things. Some of the crazy is enacted by me and some happens to me. I know from experience it is life and I know more is coming.
SlippingAway · 46-50, F
Yes, more times than I'd like to admit. I sometimes do things in extremes.
My 20s..omg haha.
Cigarguy · M

sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
I'm still doing crazy things! ;)
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@ArtieKat Hahaha, not quite that kind of business. 😏

@Coralmist Thank you!
ArtieKat · M

sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
