The whole 10,000 steps thing.

Does anyone here walk for weight loss? It's my intention to walk no less than 70,000 steps per week. According to that, 1 lb should be lost every week without drastically changing eating habits even though I know that would help. Any tips?Any personal facts behind this?
In general exercise doesn't contribute a whole lot to weight loss. In fact in terms of diet, exercise and sleep exercise is pretty much at the bottom but, it certainly does promote good health. Diet accounts for something like 80% of weight loss.
@AthrillatheHunt Literally just about to say I lost more weight intermittent fasting then any diet or workout routine hahaha.

Yeah. I did that when I was initially losing weight. I was quite chubby, so 10,000 steps pretty much meant that I burned 400-500 calories, and I combined that with a deficit of 500 more calories (under my bmr) while I was eating, which meant I would lose about two lbs a week. I lost more weight than I currently weigh now.

Most claim that b y taking 10000 daily steps can produce a loss of a pound a week, if I can get an average of 2 lbs per month, 24 lbs in a year woukld still be very rewarding. I am trying to cut carbs out as much as possible. My weakness is beer.

Just don't have those steps take you to and from the refrigerator very often.
@DavyPNW So, for weight loss, "it's not the journey, it's the destination"??? 😉😆

Weight loss is 25% exercise and 75% diet.
