The whole 10,000 steps thing.

Does anyone here walk for weight loss? It's my intention to walk no less than 70,000 steps per week. According to that, 1 lb should be lost every week without drastically changing eating habits even though I know that would help. Any tips?Any personal facts behind this?

Yeah. I did that when I was initially losing weight. I was quite chubby, so 10,000 steps pretty much meant that I burned 400-500 calories, and I combined that with a deficit of 500 more calories (under my bmr) while I was eating, which meant I would lose about two lbs a week. I lost more weight than I currently weigh now.
