Does growing old worry you?
I've a fair way to go yet, but I think we just have to accept the inevitable process of aging.
Facial wrinkles becoming more pronounced, the dreaded turkey neck syndrome, vision declining and hearing not what it once was.
These things may not be easy to deal with, especially heading down the slippery slope toward becoming feeble, forgetful and more vulnerable, but I have an inkling that some of the best years of my life lie before me. I don't have a long bucket list of things to do, but I have books to read, places to explore, mysteries to unearth, friends and family to love, and kids to shepherd into adulthood.
So whatever tricky terrain comes in the future, our inner strength can help us deal with it.
It's inside all of us somewhere.
