I have a slightly different perspective.
From the point of view of the outcome of a necessary surgery.
I have a scar probably 8 inches long from below my left ear, down and to the right across my throat.
From the removal of a fluid sac.
Now, personally, I couldn't care less.
I think as you age you tend to replace your 'beauty spots' with the 'scars from life'.
And being in my late 50's, i can rationalise easily should anyone mention it.
But it was pointed out to me that if you were in a customer facing role for work, you might be put in the position by your management or customers of not being the best face of the company they want to see represented.
And might be removed from your role through no fault of your own as a result.
So plastic surgery could be useful if it's successful and gives you confidence.
That said. If you're vacuous enough to think a tuck here and there and maybe some Botox and fillers would completely transform you....you might have a problem

@Picklebobble2 1The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem. 2Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity. 3What profit hath a man of all his labor which he taketh under the sun? 4One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abides for ever.

No, not now. I got breast implants when I was 25 and it caused a lot of health problems and I had them removed. I don't have money to spend on surgery now and I see more damage to people who have it done than should be. Especially Botox. And you really don't know the long term effects of having it done too. I'd rather just be natural

Never for me and if anyone i was with felt like they had to put floating plastic in their body to make themselves feel/look better (it doesnt), then i have failed in that relationship.
Each to their own though......although where do you draw the line? Should there be a line? The people who want to look like barbie/ken have clearly been butchered but its their choice to do so. Is the hippocratic oath being broken? Im unsure

No, i am of the opinion that the world should suffer my ugliness. It does not bother me. I don't have to look at my own face.
There are situations where it is a medical necessity. I am not so sure it should be a source of profits though. I think my issue is with general monetization of healthcare, and taking advantage of the psychologically vulnerable. Anesthetics can be a part of healthcare, but not to the extent that exists in certain countries.

I'm not against it.
Say you were car wreak like my youngest daughter was when she was 12. They had to do a complete facial reconstruction. From plastic cheek bones, forehead and jaw bone.
Natural bone grown over the plastic and you can't tell today she had plastic surgery done.
The doctors may not have save her life, but in the long run they saved her life.
She is now married with 3 kids

Plastic? Cosmetic surgery?
I'll sit on the fence with this one. For me, I understand that people place a big emphasis on looks and appearance and this can dramatically affect people's wellbeing, confidence and belief. But...for me? Probably not. However, altering appearance? Isn't that just the next step on from dying your hair, getting rid of those grey hairs? Ponder that.
My other 'arf was coerced into getting a boob job, back in the day, as it was deemed 'good for business'. 20 years later and they had to be removed she wanted a new...erhhh....'set'. Why? She couldn't think of getting rid of that size. She was used to it.
So, I understand both ways.

No, I’d never get anything done, I’m grateful to grow old. I don’t want to look like everyone with tight skin and big lips lol
Pretzel · 61-69, M
I don't think I'd want to pay that kind of money
although my neck looks like it's melting

@Jenny1234 thank you, oh yours is bad eh?
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@Jeephikelove I don’t even know if I have it. I’d never heard of it until I started watching her videos. I don’t want to touch to check because I don’t understand what to look for and if it will hurt.
Jeephikelove · 51-55, F
@Jenny1234 it doesn’t hurt, thankfully
Pinkstarburst · 51-55, F
I wish I could afford a breast reduction. But that’s about it for me.
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
No I wouldn't
dimfok · 22-25, M
I haven’t considered it so far but never say never. It’s pretty good that it gives people a way of changing their body/appearance to their liking. Also we shouldn’t forget its importance on post injury operations.

I have had cancer in my face and head. I have scars on my face and part of my mouth was removed. I ware my scars with pride as i am still here and if people cant accept someone as they are then to hell with them i say
InMyPrime · 46-50, M
Some have unhealthy obsession and take it too far. But generally speaking, if it makes someone feel good about themselves then it’s all good
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
Never would undergo it, nor recommended it to ANYONE unless that person was totally disfigured. Like being obviously and dramatically burnt!
bert199 · 51-55, M
I love plastic surgery. It’s very popular here. I really like breast implants. I know it’s not for everyone.
Allelse · 36-40, M
No, but women should definitely get bigger boobs if theirs are too small.
Pinkstarburst · 51-55, F
@Allelse Might I suggest a penis extension for you???
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
I only would if my face got disfigured somehow. I see no reason to risk my health for looks.
deadgerbil · 26-30
Only if I was in a disfiguring accident. Other than that absolutely not
JohnnyNoir · 56-60, M
Nope. I've worked too long and hard to earn this grizzled face
HijabaDabbaDoo · F
I would but not to the point where I look completely unrecognisable
meggie · F
Only if I needed it. I wouldn't do it for vanity.
Selah ·
