How much control do you have under "laughing gas"? Genuine question. I have an irrational fear...

I love the laughing gas. Had it several times. Makes everything so much more pleasant. Bring someone you trust to drive you home. I didn’t feel out of it for too long afterwards - they started turning it down as they neared the end of the procedure. My only misfortune was spraying the unfortunate dentist who decided to crack a joke while they were shooting water in my mouth. Did feel bad about that. Good luck! 👍

You are aware. It's not like anesthesia.
It actually feels very pleasant.
The best way I can describe it is you feel super relaxed as if you are laying on clouds. You feel like you are drifting, super close to being sleep. I had it during a dental procedure (forgot what it was) I was nervous so they gave me the gas to relax me.

They talked to me during the procedure and I had no problem.

You will be totally fine.
If I have another dental issue and they ask if I need laughing gas, I'll gladly say yes! 🤣

3 times the normal dose, & my dentist is telling one of his dry jokes.
I looked at him and said "you're still not funny."

I had the same feeling towards anesthesia…they give you fentanyl and ketamine before surgery. Watched some You Tube videos posted by an anesthesiologst and he said people have different reactions. Some even try to fight it.

🤔.........I've never been under the gas but have always wondered what people say while on the gas????? I prefer just being awake. I had 4 teeth pulled while awake and just under novacocaine shoots. Teeth, 1,2,18 & 19...........No issues.......

There's been a news item here about it. From what I remember it's super dangerous to drive while high on laughing gas, because your reaction time becomes horrible. Probably other things go worse too.
