How much control do you have under "laughing gas"?

Genuine question. I have an irrational fear of being put under "laughing gas" because... i don't know. Most likely very irrational of a fear and doesnt work that way but I'm still scared of it because i think id have no awareness or control.

I love the laughing gas. Had it several times. Makes everything so much more pleasant. Bring someone you trust to drive you home. I didn’t feel out of it for too long afterwards - they started turning it down as they neared the end of the procedure. My only misfortune was spraying the unfortunate dentist who decided to crack a joke while they were shooting water in my mouth. Did feel bad about that. Good luck! 👍
