How much control do you have under "laughing gas"?

Genuine question. I have an irrational fear of being put under "laughing gas" because... i don't know. Most likely very irrational of a fear and doesnt work that way but I'm still scared of it because i think id have no awareness or control.

I had the same feeling towards anesthesia…they give you fentanyl and ketamine before surgery. Watched some You Tube videos posted by an anesthesiologst and he said people have different reactions. Some even try to fight it.
