When I was 20, out of the blue, I started having seizures. (Epilepsy which stopped as bizarrely as it started) On one occasion I hit my head on a door frame as I fell and split my face open which led to me getting nine stitches in my face. I was freaking out "I'm going to look like Frankenstein's sister!!" and (because it was my face, the doctor got a nurse from the childrens ward - apparently because she was the best and neatest at stitches not because she was used to small children who created a massive fuss lol although I suspect it might have been the latter. I thought it was really lovely they did that either way. I barely have any sign of the scar now 😊

Yep. A number of times. Once on a hiking camp I had to stitch myself. Luckily it was only four and then I put duct tape over it. Probably should have just done the Duct tape, but I was 13 and didn't know better.

Fortunately only on a few rare occasions. A few years ago right at Thanksgiving I was cutting firewood and got hit in the face with a limb and needed my lip sewed up. Before that, I had a cyst taken off my shoulder back in the 80's. Before that I was in a car wreck in the early 70's. I'm sure there's been another time or two I probably "needed" stitches but I didn't bother to go to the Dr.

Once in my knee, but most of them were inside, i took a chunk out of it so deep i could see the fat cells in my flesh and the white bone at the bottom of the gash. But weirdly, it didn't hurt or bleed ....it was just deep and fascinating .
Second time when i went batshit nutz and kicked the shit out of a window with only ballet flats on....REALLY stupid thing to do, lots of stiches there. Enough that the doctor managed to tell me half his lifes story in the process.

After that, i bought my own surgical tape....jic.
