you can be smart and still do stupid things

Pretty smart both in school and out.
WillaKissing · 61-69, M
@MsSwan You would be! I was a hard learner! LOL
TheHammer · M
I had to get all As, all the time or I'd get beaten. It was a pretty good motivator.

@Unefilletrescurieuse
I don't know the answer. It took me to graduate Cum Laude in college. But I'm not sure if the fear and anxiety that came with it was worth it. I think I would have been happier with a couple of Bs and Cs here and there.
@TheHammer I’m sorry they stressed you like that. Perhaps your parent knew you were capable.
TheHammer · M
@Unefilletrescurieuse

Oh I'm sure but maybe there were other ways to get that capability out of me
It's ok . That showed me to never ever hit my kids no matter what. I'm sure they approved of that 😊

We moved a lot after parents split up changed schools maybe 11 times or so...guess that kinda makes me smart.
Smartish starfish in bikini bottom

Pretty smart. Pretty much an outsider really. Part nerd, part slag. Loved, and still love, books music and films....but also loved sex too.

I was smart and dumb. Smart and got away with a lot and dumb because i was too shy to see that some girls liked me.
GoFish ·
smart enough to pass the ged at 13 probably 🙂
scorpiolovedeep · 51-55, M
Academically smart.
Good at general knowledge.
Good at playing cricket.

But lacked courage to deal with the bullies.
Had low self esteem.
eyeno · M
Formed that habit and continued into adulthood....

Sapio · 51-55, M
I was a dumb teenager looking back. I did well in school when I attended but I got into a lot of trouble. I did foolish things.
Bleak · 36-40, F
Academically, I was very smart. I did really well in my studies and extracurricular activities. But I also had my own fantasies, I was obsessed with Disney stories, so I spent a lot of time daydreaming and imagining magical worlds.
exexec · 70-79, C
Fairly smart when it came to nature and sports. School was easy. I didn't have a car, so I knew very little about working on cars.
HaveFunHannah · 18-21, F
@exexec so overall smart!
chrisCA · M
I wasn't a stellar student, but I read alot.
I also had much more general knowledge than many people my age
I was just smart enough to not have to try to get good grades in school. Hard work is better than natural smarts or ability. It took me a while to figure that out.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
School-wise, around top 5% of the class, most classes didn't have to study. Street-wise, worldy-wise, pretty naive.
I was too busy skipping classes and getting suspended to honestly know ...I was bad
Panamared · 70-79, M
I still do dumb things, i just do them slower
Houdini · 56-60, M
I have never been smart never went to school much and never learned to read and write properly. But I have lots of common sense
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
I knew everything by the time I was 15 😌
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
Not as smart as i thought.
katydidnt · 61-69, F
Book-smart, but I lagged at common sense. Still do.
HaveFunHannah · 18-21, F
@katydidnt omg same lol
Akimbo75 · 46-50, F
@katydidnt Same lol
Selah ·
Academically, smarter than most kids at school but that's not saying much, we have a horrible education system. I had to learn a lot privately. Outside of school, I was too depressed to use my brain lol
That's tough to answer as I feel I have forgotten some things I learned but I definitely feel I've gained more wisdom these days and am better for this
Smart enough to learn from other kids’ mistakes. Looking back, while I did have fun I managed to stay out of trouble.
WillaKissing · 61-69, M
We all have been there, at least you learned early not to keep doing the dumb things (I hope) it takes most a lifetime to learn.
Casheyane · 31-35, F
Not enough to know and realize when I was not being treated right. Naivety is like a sickness at the time.
alongalone · M
Above average but lazy
