This is a good question. I have left many times, yet even if it takes 6 years, I always come back. 🤔Each time I come back, I have a different experience. here. However, I have figured out that all the different experiences have made me grow as a person. Even the negative ones. I like some of the people here alot, even if we only interact occasionally. I think maybe it is that you can get to know a person on here, on a deeper level than you can in person, in some ways. Many people are very open about who they are, how they feel, and what they struggle with here. However, I think if a person were looking for a romantic connection or a deeper emotional connection, this place could get frustrating, and maybe even make someone lose hope. If you are only looking to understand other people, it is a good place to learn. 🙂Are you thinking of leaving?
I've got some really nice friends on here and I enjoy their comments and chats. I did take a break when our oldest boy was very sick and I was in the hospital for a while.
I used to leave and come back a lot on EP, especially. Don't know if you were on that site? Anyway, that's why I have the name I do. I've gotten some support here but mostly I just goof around. I like having a place where I can just write my feelings out,as well.

@Justmeraeagain Yes I do remember you on EP, it has been many years but I enjoyed it immensely. This is a great way to immerse yourself in other people's posts. So I understand what you are saying
There are some very nice people here who I enjoy interacting with. I also genuinely want to hear how people who hold very different views from me think. It's good to have a worldwide perspective on issues, especially when it's easy to become caught up in your own 'group think' bubble.
It's a shame when people block because they don't want to hear someone else's view. It's not a shame when people block because they're only here to troll and abuse.
It's somewhere to be while I'm having a meal.. and yes, but I just got here. I did think about leaving once, several weeks ago, before I understood the site more.
Now I don't as I've come to realize it's not very social here and more like picking up a magazine. It's more peaceful here than anywhere else online these days, so for now, I've decided to stay.
I have thought about leaving many times but then one person comes along and we have a good long chat and i am happy again. Then they leave or stop talking and i am back at square one
i'm thinking of leaving all the time, and sometimes I do so only to come back again. I can't talk about anything serious except aesthetic things and even with that I need solitude to organize my thoughts and convictions. If the only activity here is niceties being expressed, it's like eating only candy that gives after time a soul cavity.
I left for awhile, then came back and do take breaks from time to time. Seems we always come back. Sometimes we just need a place where nobody knows your name and can vent or just put it out there.
Many of our regulars take breaks. I am here daily, but sometimes...the emotional angst gets too heavy to bear. When that happens, I am only here for a short time.
Several key people keep me here although the important ones can be contacted off of here. Not really thought about leaving, but my schedule might slow me down here.
I'm going to be eventually leaving after a while and once I do I'm gone I am on here a lot less nowadays and that will be even less as things get going for me
hope to talk to cool people sometimes, but its usually pretty dead, at least for me 💀 but i do youtube and video games and stuff and just leave it open in the background lots, too, so it doesnt hurt anything
