There seems to be lots of self-imposed ignorance of what must have been the original premise, getting people to talk about themselves, their lives, with the view of shared experiences impacting their understanding of life right now......

My immediate observation as a new user.

I like that there are few restrictions I’m a show off love to be seen naked and love seeing others naked and others here enjoy that too.

I share my experiences in life from past to present, read other's experiences and comment and reply to those that I find interesting or that share a like or appreciation for my posts and life. And I try and use humor to brighten folks' day and empathy and support for those truly hurting or suffering. That is all I come here for.

I do not believe in the idea of self-imposed ignorance though; I have learned a lot about people and things I knew nothing of before joining this site as it was created.
here to get a few laughs and meet some friends.

Being able to interact with people who don't know me in real life. I find writing things down far easier than saying them. Conversations are tricky sometimes but posting and replying on here gives me time to pause and think (mostly).

Different people have different motivates.....You can say anything to anyone within reason.....
I'm a INTJ and have alot of negative memories emerge if I stay in isolation, discovered after years if I keep my ES fucntion somewhat stimulated it doesn't happen.

I mostly just pause when I'm copying a text (today it is Plato's Timaeus- the focus too long can hurt my brain and then it just wanders off into imagination, I just scan the forum instead and post something) or when I am at work during my down time.

Years ago there was another site called experience project. After it closed this site was listed as a similar type site. I joined to explode topics and get to know others. I took a break from the site about 3 years ago and just started to come back in limited bursts.
There are people here with whom I enjoy talking. And I enjoy discussions about different topics, in general.

Some have experienced more and therefore have more to share.
My past, as my name suggests was very average.

It is the universal law of feeling better when seeing others suffer too.

I use it just as you described the original premise. I use it as a kind of public diary, blog if you will, and also to comment on other people's posts.
Ive been away for a while. What's going on here these days?
@Teggy Hey, bud. Long time, no see. Hope you are doing well.

I needed something after Yahoo Answers went away. This is...okay, but I prefer Yahoo Answers.
