For me I would much rather post a picture of me with make up because I can blur my pores, contour, use lip stick put on fake lashes because I have none. I am so self conscious posting a no make up picture with my red cheeks and no lashes.

I have boys so they aren’t as pressured to look perfect but social media is a bad thing for self image. I feel badly for women that feel they can only post a picture of themselves heavily edited or filtered because they are beautiful as they are. But we don’t see that on social media. I wish more celebrities/influencers would do that.

A post was made about me yesterday in regards to this. I wasn’t saying women shouldn’t use filters, I was saying I wish they didn’t feel the need to use them. Anyone should feel free too. I don’t edit the colour of my clothes, hair or lips though. I buy that same dress in all the colours/prints because it’s flattering and has pockets. I put semi permanent colour in my hair that washes out and I have over 50 colours of lipstick.

I shouldn’t feel the need to wear make up but I do.
