People forget that unless the conversation is real important, sometimes people do have to put it on pause unannounced when life gets in the way.
I think most people just understand that it is the nature of text messages. SOMEtimes people will end the chat formally if they have to do something but not usually. It should not be expected.

When someone has a romantic interest though, THAT is when they get antsy if someone takes too long to respond or doesn't announce why they have to do silly things like feed their baby or escape a burning building.

Very few on here have manners. If you leave it is polite to say so. But in this text world no one gives any respect.

Some people. This is nor real life I understand people here have many other much more important things to do in the real world

one of the best things on SW is that you can leave whenever you have too and just restart the convo when you come back. That person is way to sensitive and shouldn't be here.

He did have a bit of a over reaction. But I kind of get his point. Kind of hard to talk with someone if they keep getting off of the site without saying anything. Not that hard to say I'll be right back I need to let the dog out and get a bottle for my child.

Unfortunately, there are people in this world that have no life outside the internet. If I am chatting with someone and they don't respond back after 5 minutes, it probably means they have important offline things to do.

I suppose if one leaves in the middle of a conversation, it is rude. You could say BRB, or I have to go. If it’s a chat, it’s rude. If it’s messages, then that’s different. Depends what it is.

I tried the impatient approach once. For some stupid reason I thought that would show how much I wanted to talk to her and that she'd appreciate that. Needless to say, she blocked me.

Bad hair day maybe? Each of us have different expectations and yours and their are at different ends of the scale. No biggie, no harm, no foul.

If I sent a message I expect a reply when the reply comes and if we happen to be shooting replies back and forth for a few minutes, I'm cool if an unannounced pause happens... I just carry on and do whatever. I go annoy someone else or make a cup of coffee, or fold the laundry... wait, not that!

What I'm saying is don't sweat the small stuff and it's all small stuff. They had issues with how you responded, oh well, have a nice day.

I met someone on here that would say crazy shit to me, always arguing with me like for instance if I said see you later, I have to go.
