@DarkHeaven Beach Boys, too. They were the original "boy band" by a few years. I think the Fabs stole a lot of bands' thunder.

@MasterLee I tend to agree with you on John Lennon. While he was part of one of the greatest bands known and he did have talent, I believe that his popularity/fame got in the way. I believe it got to the point where he could put total garbage on a record, but because his name was on it, it sold millions.

I'm going to change my #1 abswer to Manfred Mann.
As overhyped as I feel The Sex Pistols are, they are better than this 2nd rate cover band that I don't even want to think about.
Manfred Mann hasn't had any hits that were originals, yet are sometimes highly praised. The only cover Iiked was Doo Wah Diddy Diddy....sfter that a lot of bad covers of Dylan and Spri ngsteen.
