You are a false prophet, and I suspect, either Paki or Indian. Those who understand scripture, also understand those who would bend it to their own end. God's love is not about punishment, but one of forgiveness. Your fear mongering exposes you and your tribes for who you really are. Stop with the old lady avatar, you embarrass yourself.

@Zingastar biblically, "by their works, ye shall know them"....you are exposed for who you are...trying to integrate and hide yourself among ordinary Americans, preaching through false unbiblical gates. I thank you for this post because you are now exposed. Take note, those of you here on Similar Worlds, this is a true infidel.
One of the problems of taking verses out of the context is that it appears in reasonable that children should obey abusive or unreasonable parents.
Well said and your point is well taken. When I worked in the IT department of our local juvenile justice center (for wayward minor children) I had the opportunity to work closely with judges of the family court as well as more than twenty+ caring and concerned probation officers. I witnessed violent, emotionally unbalanced, and desperate kids basically crying out for proper adult attention, affirmation and validation. I decided one day to just go ahead and ask what is the origin of these kid's problems.

Every probation officer I asked independently told me the exact same reason - "it starts with the parents." Investigating further each told me straight out that these parents were not ready to be parents themselves when they had kids. They were still emotionally immature themselves who left their abusive homes because they could no longer endure the regular beatings. This is a vicious cycle that ensures violence and psycho-social abuse continues from one generation to the next. Adding to a culture of abuse makes zero sense and is like physically abusing a loving pet then wondering why it turns around and bites you then eventually runs away.

Btw, ignore Leopold Bloom. He appears both unable to control his base emotions and exert selective verbalization of his primal thoughts emanating from his lizard brain. Much like the Leopold Bloom character in James Joyce's Ulysses who ate inner organs of beasts and fowls with animalistic relish leaving his palate with "a fine tang of faintly scented urine." Perhaps he relates to this character whose wife Molly cheated on him. Anyway, blocked him for good reason - aggressive psycho.

@1354swrdt Don't argue with people who have no desire to communicate without using lies, half truths, aggression and/or ignorance. We can spend our time learning and growing with those who are peaceful and have a true desire to converse.

MY MOTHER WAS A VIOLENT, SICK PERSON. Beat me with belts, 2x4's, broke my teeth with a dish she frisbeed into my mouth...I could tell you horror stories ALLL DAYYY! But, I can see you are quite insane so I won't bother...that buybull is evil
SubstantialKick · 31-35, M
@fernie2 Sorry you went through that. My mom's father was a crazy and narcissistic psychopath, from the stories she told me.
@SubstantialKick It is amazing how one person can cause so much damage to so many people
redredred · M
Always makes me think of Isaac and Abraham. A father who hears voices and decides to knife his son is not worthy of respect or obedience.

Evidence that is all around you and in every cell of your body. Evidence that people like you blithely choose to ignore, instead gullibly swallowing idiocy from the internet. Where did the information come from for a start ? Blind and chaotic forces? Of course. Chaos always produces order according to idiots @redredred

What I've always wondered, is what if someone's parents are evil and abusive? Are they just supposed to take the abuse?
@SubstantialKick Too often they have kids of their own and repeat the abuse
redredred · M
@1354swrdt We must realize that the Bible is an error-ridden (2500 errors of fact) piece of garbage edited at the behest of a pagan emperor and detailing a centuries long fascination with conquest, rape, murder and torture.

You must realise you understand nothing whatever and your information is that of a fanatic @redredred

If your parents tell you to suck a dog's dick and you don't do it are you going to hell?
Forgetmeknot · 41-45
@1354swrdt 🤔 a central committee... Quote from an old Russian woman I saw on TV as a kid "did you prefer communism or do you like it now?" Answer: "under communism I always had bread to eat. Now I am starving"

I take the old woman's words over the books financed by the rich and powerful.
1354swrdt · 70-79, M
Yes they all had the same - bread and terror. Would you have wanted to live under Stalin? @Forgetmeknot

Some parents are abusive and shouldn't be parents in the first place

Hell? Over here we end up in the corner. 😅

❤️ We DO NOT go to heaven by being good! We go to heaven because we love Jesus! If you want obedient children then reward them for good behaviors, and have a good relationship with them, a happy home, and good role modeling for them
amaricul · 22-25, F
The only reason I don't want to go to hell is because I know for sure that's where my deadbeat violent alcoholic child beating father is going there, and I NEVER want to be in the same room as that man again in this lifetime or the next!!
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
Ask yourself, are you disobeying your parents if they ask you to wear different clothes and you don't? 🤷‍♂️

If so do so, do you really have free will?

I wonder if there ever was anyone that never disobeyed their parents. Even those that obeyed the most, do so. And frequently.

Mom really did want me to marry "a nice woman".

I disobeyed her by never marrying at all! 😒

Was I wrong to disobey her? 🤔

By that alone I'm going to hell! Ironically so is everyone else!

These verses actually prove that the bible is about social pressure. Doesn't matter if they go to hell or not.

For if you do obey your parents, you have just become the victim of social pressure.
Pretty sure all you need to go to heaven is to accept that Christ Jesus is the son of god who died to pay for your sins🤷‍♀️
@1354swrdt

Yes i agree. My explanation is the entry point into becoming a Christian while yours is a description of what it means to be a Christian.
1354swrdt · 70-79, M
I think it depends what we mean by the words@Pikachu
@1354swrdt no doubt

{@zingastar] if you take away the religious element i am sure that is not strictly true that you will go to hell that is just a christian take on it
Only those born without morals have to outsource it to a poorly cobbled together book.

I “obeyed” my parents my entire life and it only created issues for me
REMsleep · 41-45, F
You are using those verses with no context and adding your opinion⁰. Nobody is going to hell because they didn't listen to their parents.
Also the parents first have an obligation to be godly and responsible.
Sharon · F
Quotes from a book of fairy stories aren't proof that the claims are real.
The parents should kill disobedient children as the Bible commands.
graphite · 61-69, M
Says honor your father and mother. There's no real set definition on what that means. Many have fathers and mothers who were mean to them. Do they get obedience? This is in the Bible, too: Fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath; instead, bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
Lol I bought my one way ticket to hell long ago, I’ve been lied to by my own blood 🤣😂🤣😂😂🤣😂 fuck o need another beer.
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
I can't see any mention of hell in those verses.
OH

People block groups for a reason. Religious dogma should be classified as such, so it doesn’t turn up in the feed of those who don’t want to see it.
